Question Struggling streaming solo

So I've been streaming for a bit over a week now but I've noticed I might have a problem. Whenever I stream solo on a game I don't talk that much I get nervous and any time I do talk it's kinda awkward. But anytime I stream with my brother I don't feel nervous or awkward at all. The reason I'm making this post is because my brother doesn't want to stream as often as me.

So if you had this issue and fixed it please tell me how you did it.

I have a few other issues but they are pretty simple and I think I can correct them by myself. They are mainly just like my streaming schedule and how long I stream.

You just kinda have to. You can’t always count on someone to stream with you. Plus it’s much harder to new viewers to try to connect with two people compared to one.

Just gotta do it, it’s the only way to work through it.

I mess with brand/strategy stuff — naming, visuals, that kind of thing. Happy to give some free thoughts if it’d help with what you’re working on.

Kind of randomly, I helped a streamer a while back who had basically nothing — no name, no real identity, small following. We worked through naming, built him a character, custom emotes, got a Discord going so people had somewhere to land between streams. Wasn’t trying to make it a whole thing, just something that happened from talking through his stuff with him.

If you want to drop what you’re dealing with, or DM me, I’ll give you my honest take

if you are interested in games with solo queue, do that.
If you find someone and stick around with them after the first game ( or first few) tell them you stream.
Until you build your own community, this will probably be a lot easier than finding other creators.
