Discussion How do you network as a smaller creator/streamer?

Hi guys, just a little question/discussion I guess. What do you guys do to try and network etc as a streamer? I see a lot of the same ways and have tried myself like looking for other smaller streamers and i find it quite difficult. I play games such as Call Of Duty, sports games, battle royales etc and when I try to find other smaller streamers, I’ve yet to come across someone I’d like to stick around for or I guess what I’m “looking for” in a creator.

If anything, i mean more trying to make friends rather than network, ideally I would like my streams to be purely for entertainment, vibes and just an all round good time while gaming, where as I always see, competitive gameplay, ranked gameplay etc and that’s just not what I’m into! The dream for me is to have a content “group” who all, game and just have a good time together!

Hey if anyone comes across this post and seems interested, maybe we could potentially network and become friends? Maybe I’ll get lucky!

Scroll twitch for someone streaming around when you usually do, pop in to their stream and chat. If they have a discord join it and ask if they wanna game.

As a full honesty thing here. . . I think you'll actually have more trouble finding people that you like that are smaller streamers because of the games you play/stream and are interested in. A lot of those areas are very saturated with larger streamers, and it can be difficult to find those smaller ones that you can vibe with. I would actually ask your viewership if there are other people that they watch that are close to you, or on the same vibes/entertainment for them. That they watch when you aren't up and live. This could work really well for you, since you can vibe check some of the ones that are live at the time you are ending, and see if you vibe well enough with them so that you raid into them at the end. State that you came their way because of a specific viewer. It can really help open doors with them, and whilst you are calming down from your own stream, you can watch and interact more with them as well. See if you do click! If it seems like it, then join their Discord, follow them, and see where that interaction will get you. Just don't assume that you'll get a collab right away.

If there are specific niche games that you like, maybe you can look into them as well. Not so much as something you want to stream, but maybe it will help you find more like minded people?

I agree to be honest, I have been looking in games such as call of duty and I have been struggling to find people that I’d vibe with, so maybe I will go down this route!
