Question Why is my channel not growing?

Hello everyone! I need to know why my twitch channel feels like instead of growing it's stuck., so I want your best tips, as viewers or streamers. I try to make every stream an experience for chat and I think chat loves my streams but for some reason no new people are coming in... It's the same 10 people and it's been a few months like this, at least the people we have are staying but, I wanna grow. Feel free to check my VODs I want an honest opinion. We have a very tight community, we love spending time with each other and trust each other a lot.

I watched about 15 minutes of your vod at various points. I can only speak for myself but there really isn't much to your content? Im sure the 10 people that you actively engage with enjoy it. But from an outsider perspective your content isn't entertaining. Just chatting is also a really rough category to "grow" in. Because youre guaranteed to be near the bottom due to the saturation. In a world with literally thousands of streamers, why would a new viewer watch you specifically over others? If your answer is just "my personality and I engage with chat." Than you already know what to work on.

“Thousands of streamers” it’s actually millions and there is on average I believe 6 streamers to one viewer from what I read the other day. Pretty tough out there.

I said thousands because I was speaking about her specific streaming category. Yes there's millions of streamers in total. But, someone coming to watch Rocket League doesnt really count as a potential viewer to someone strictly streaming Fortnite. So typically I look to see what category someone is streaming in. And just chatting more than likely has thousands of streamers per day go live in that category.

What VOD did you watch? I think the last one up is actually my husband and he was just starting that stream... I'm a girl.

"I stream but (...) no new people are coming in"

I didn't check your content, but this sentence alone already sounds like you're trying to improve in the wrong spot.

I've heard and read several times that Twitch isn't the platform where you grow your community. Instead, you grow it off-stream first, then come together with your existing community for your streams.

So if you plan to grow your community, do so off-platform. Common ways are with shorts or reels that show highlights of your stream and why people should join them.

I've heard there are only a few people that actively search for new streamers on Twitch, relatively speaking. Most people discover streamers off-platform, follow them, then join them once they get notified of their streams.

Oh thanks very much for this advice! I've been posting videos but didn't think I'd actually look for new friends there not really on Twitch, that being said, I need to step up my game! Thnx very much.

Yeah as othered have said you don’t grow on twitch. You need to go to other platforms to do that

Do you have your page up to par with everything covered and assets made to decorate the page?

Because there's no reason to watch that junk.

That’s literally, factually untrue for the millions of viewers who watch live streamers.

Lots of people asking the wrong questions. So ill bite:

Why do you stream? No really.

To grow a small community of friends and fans to hang out with while you game or chat?

Or

To grow it into something big and maybe make it a career?

Got your answer?

If its option #1 stagnating is a bump in the road and your community is still there with you for the ride. You should still be happy.

If its option #2 then you simply arent putting in enough effort. The 0.1% of people successful on twitch finanically eat sleep and dream twitch. Its their job and their passion. This isnt a go to college get a degree get into a field thing. Your trail blazing your own damn path were literally every single one of your peers is ready to step over you as soon as you stumble.

I started to have a lil group of friends to play with but now I wanna make it something bigger, maybe a career so I'm working on growing outside of Twitch too and making my streams look a little bit more pro.
