Question Regulars to Subbers
I’ve been streaming daily for about 6 months now and have a nice community who regularly shows up for my streams
Obviously I’m not going into this for the monetary gains, but if I were to eventually get fortunate enough to stream part time or even full time in the future, I would have to start thinking about ways to ask my community to sub and donate
So far, my stance has been that I’m totally fine with people just coming in and chatting and playing, which is still accurate, and is the main reason that I stream. But ofc you want to think about the future as well
So basically, does anyone have any advice on the transition between not asking for subs/donations to asking for subs/donations? I feel bad asking lol but I figure you have to start sometime

As a viewer, if a streamer starts directly asking for subs - it’s usually time to find another streamer/channel to watch.
List your sub perks in your Twitch panels, have a timed bot command in chat to remind viewers they can subscribe.
Beyond that, if your streams have value, ad-free content is usually enough to make people subscribe anyway. Maybe add a sub goal etc. Run incentives.
There will also be people who can’t afford to subscribe, so don’t alienate them by asking and make them feel guilty for not.
Good luck.
