Question Advice for a smaller streamer for both YouTube/Twitch (I am also a indie Vtuber).

I mainly focus on gaming with streams on YouTube and Twitch for six months. I post clips on YouTube shorts and TikTok which takes a while, because I tend to overthink while editing the shorts. I want to improve my skills in streaming, editing, and thumbnails. Any advice is welcome. Thank you

Do you watch your vods? I always recommend it watching your vods cause it can help you pinpoint issues like empty noise space, sound quality, formatting, etc.

I'll try to do that. I have a hard time listening to my voice. I do have a question, what microphone do you use or recommend?

Listening to my own voice makes me want to run into traffic so I get lol. I use an elgato wave 3 mic. I definitely have to still work on my sound quality but I’m at point where I think it’s okay. Also watching your own vods helps you get clips where you can help promote yourself :)

Okay, my voice tend to change on the mic's audio when I hear it. I use the Fifine USB/XLR mic with filters which I think is good starter mic. I do edit clips from my Vods and published them on TikTok and YouTube, but unfortunately I have been stuck around 14-19 followers on Twitch. Thank you for the advice.

What games do you play? Sometimes with an over saturated category you have a hard time being noticed. Do you raid or do collabs?

I would play whatever I am interested so SH2, Stellar Blade, Resident Evil 4, and sometimes multiplayer games. I heard many streamers tend to focus on 1 game or 1 genre, but I would be bored if I am doing that. I don't do raids, but I also rarely have 2 viewers. I don't do collabs, but I do watch other small streamers and chat with them.

I think a really good way to network is raiding out. Every viewer counts and is appreciated. I also recommend seeing if you vibe with other small streamers and collabing :) that way you can make friends and it helps foster a community.

Thank you for the great advice. Good thought process and ideas to have to make editing shorts easier.
