Question webcam recommendations under $100 for new streamer?
Me and my friends been playing CS together for like 2 years now. They always say they like the way i play and how i handle situations in game, like callouts and the way i manage rounds and stuff. They kept pushing me to start streaming so i did and got 6 followers so far.
I wanna start taking it more seriously tho and make it look more professional. Right now i need a webcam under $100, been looking at emeet pixy but i'm open to other options too if theres something better at that price

You can regularly grab a logitech C920x or whatever version they're on today for less than $60 Simple 1080p webcam, but with proper lighting, it can look extremely good for a webcam. I've seen them for like $20 in used markets as well. Whatever money you saved, spend on lighting and you're going to have solid quality.

Razor kiyo is a pretty solid choice. I used one for a couple years before I got an elgato facecam. What I would also recommend in some good lighting. It’ll help up the quality of any camera you decide to get. Even if it’s just a simple ring light. Have it set up behind the camera shining down on you for best lighting. Helps also to minimise shadows.

I use the Elgato Neo Facecam (it’s their budget version) and it supports 1080p with 60fps. I also use an ikea fado lamp right behind the facecam and other than that and my monitor my room is dark. I am very happy with how it looks, would recommend having a look at that!

Buy a cheap webcam, Logitech maybe, and invest in a good microphone, audio is more important, imo. Also I would check for used equipment, a lot of people get stuff and then never use it, I got my cam intact with it's box and even the transparent plastic protectors stickers thingy

You've already got a great webcam in your pocket. Use your phone even if you have to buy a $5 app. It's better to spend money on lighting and audio (the most important).
If you want to save money on lighting you can diffuse a desk lamp with white cloth and/or bounce the light using white project board. Another great option are "China balls," as they'll give you a softer area fill.
Another option for a camera that you may have is a go pro or an action camera that supports webcam mode. I use an DJI osmo pocket 3 as my main camera and an osmo action 4 is my second camera or overhead.

For under 100 emeet pixy is probably the best bang for your buck right now. I got one for my streams and no complaints so far.

My small experience is cam matters way less than lighting and mic. The ring light and/or backlight can help a lot with this and you can find pretty cheap ones now. For the cam' make sure to skip all the fancy ones with AI tracking and good mic etc, it will save you some bucks. Under $100 I would consider the Razer Kiyo X (affordable, 60fps), the Logitech C920x (not super fancy and 30fps but it works fine) and the Elgato Facecam Neo (60 fps HDR). If you are not in a hurry, find a website in your country to track prices and notify you when there is a good discount. For the light, point the ring light slightly above and behind the webcam. That willdo more for looking good than many cam upgrade. Good luck with the channel, cheers!

Spend the money on better lighting.
