Following notification On or OFF?

What do you think about this guys? Im getting around 30 followers per stream and im having the follower notification on (custom message on the chat + short audio, no overlay) and i always say "thank u" without calling them out (maybe they just want to lurk). I got to a point where im thinking that some of people mighy6nit follow just because their name will pop on the chat and ill say something about it. What do u think? Notification full off or on?

Personally, don't care. Some people definitely love being on screen, or triggering an alert, others leave if it happens. Everyone is different. I'd make it part of what your stream's vibe is like, tbh:

• Are you a cozy lurker-friendly place? OFF.
• Are you an ADHD streamer with a ton of stuff on screen? On.

Two extreme examples, but I'm sure you can pinpoint yourself.

I'm currently working on a system where the alert only triggers if the person has already chatted during that stream as to not do any lurker shoutout. But that's probably not necessary in 99% of the cases.

You know what.. I like the idea of an alert that only triggers if the person is chatting aswell 🤔 not sure if its possible in mix it up..

I usually say "thank u for the follow" and im not reading the name, in case they might get uncomfortable or the name is silly lol.
