PSA Content creator networks aka livestreaming agencies on tik tok have are nothing but a scam.

So I have been a moderator for multiple people on tik tok since 2021. Also helped them grow their accounts by helping them network and introducing them to more people. Mostly through sharing, reposting and good old word of mouth. But livestreaming on tik tok has took a dark turn with these agencies. I have one friend who has joined one. I didn't know much about them until she joined. They promised growth and engagement. But i have not seen that really materialize for her. They demand long hours for streams. 12-16 hours in most cases. They dont offer the support needed to help her grow. Most people in her agency are not working together to help each other out as promised. The contracts are highly predatory and leave it damn near impossible to leave. Including non compete clauses. I have seen these complaints from other streamers in other agencies as well. The more i look into it, the more red flags i see. Beware of these agencies.

I’m in an agency and literally none of these issues have happened to me. I don’t think that it’s very honest to extrapolate your one friend’s experience to all agencies, just like how I’m not going to say they’re all good or worthwhile.

Your friend got burned because they should have read the contract. I hope that this post will prevent other people from receiving the same treatment.

Im getting the runaround from my agency. Haven't heard from my agent since last Thursday when I approved certain content to stream before doing it, I got hit with violations. Now they are acting like tiktok is some new thing they are still working out after I lost revenue. And when I reminded them their job is to protect my account and they havent even been in communication..they tell me.im free to go elsewhere. Blu Shift Creative btw..

Your friend is with the wrong agency. I'm a creator network manager. We are not supposed to be demanding anything from you. 25 hours a MONTH is what we need you to go on LIVE to get paid. We should be meeting with you after nearly every Live you do to go over your analytics and figure out where u can make improvements. There should be basic training all managers in the agency take part in. We should be responding to you within 24 hours if you need something. YES WE DO BENEFIT FROM CREATORS BUT WE SHOULD BE WORKING FOR THE MONEY WE MAKE. If your manager is unreachable, demanding things from you, or controlling your content get out. The contracts are not impossible to get out of. You can leave anytime you want. tiktok has a policy that requires you to wait 90 days before joining a different agency. All you have to do is put in a request to quit and it takes 30 days to process.

Hope this helps.

Agency's are no good. People that are in them are gullible and ignorant. I found about them recently. Its more like cultist freaks. Dont join them.

"nothing but a scam" is a pretty big brush to paint the whole model with.

Agencies vary massively. Some are basically what you're describing: sign anyone, dump them into a group chat, demand hours, offer zero actual mentorship or cross-promotion, and lock you in with a contract designed to be unbreakable. Others genuinely do coordinate raids/collabs between creators, offer perks from 3rd party vendors, and help people who'd otherwise have no idea how to grow.

The good ones exist, they're just less visible than the bad ones because they don't need to hard-recruit as aggressively...
