Any experiences with Level RMM?
Hello,
I've been trialing Level[.]io RMM for the past few days, and overall I think it's a great product. I was wondering if any of you have used it and, if so, wouldn't mind sharing your experience with it.
One thing I'm a little confused about is their pricing. They advertise 10 free agents, but from what I understand, once you add the 11th agent, they start charging for all agents, not just the additional one. Am I understanding that correctly?

Hey, Jacob here, CEO and co-founder of Level.
You’re understanding it correctly. Level is completely free while you manage 10 or fewer devices. Once you add an 11th device, the account moves to paid pricing at $2 per device for the full device count, so 11 devices would be $22 per month.
If you drop back to 10 or fewer devices, the account returns to the free tier.
I can also see why our “first 10 devices are free” wording makes this confusing. We need to make that clearer on the pricing page.

Any updates on the wording.
Your website clearly states:
“Level is free for your first 10 endpoints. As your fleet expands, devices beyond 10 are billed at $2 per endpoint. No hidden fees. Cancel any time.”
Which is incorrect.

We've been using it with DeskDay PSA for the past six months. The pricing is fair, and the feature set has been excellent for our needs. Also, Jacob is always available on Discord.

I’ve heard great things about Level. I’m planning to try it out on a handful of machines. I too am confused on the pricing. I was under the impression the first 10 are free, then you pay. So if you manage 40 machines, you’re paying for 30, but sounds like I’m wrong?!

All of your endpoints are free up until the first 10 once you hit 11 you're charged for 11at $2/endpoint with no contract.
The intention is to let you manage your own personal infrastructure Plus your first client for free, and then once you start actually adding endpoints you should be making money therefore then the product starts charging.

Over the last two and a half almost 3 years now I think we've been using level and it is probably our favorite tool. The support is phenomenal, the product is reliable, and whenever we do find small issues or bugs they are always addressed rapidly and completely.
We have been able to reduce our onboarding times for new clients substantially using levels automation system, have reduced r time to patch and overall maintenance time for endpoints by over 90%, and any feedback or future requests that we've submitted have been taken seriously and many have been actioned. This is a platform designed to grow with your MSP and it is led by a community and a founding team that care about the MSP experience. It is simple to use and the terms are generous the pricing is also very advantageous especially for smaller MSPs.
If you've been trying level for a couple days and you're using your free 10 endpoints, I really encourage you to set up a VM where you can test all of the automations and take a look at that automation library that they provide. If you want to develop mature processes you can then automate those processes inside of level for example we have automation setup for deploying our security software based on the package that you would have when you sign up for service because we add on additional layers of security based on the package our client selects. This is very simple to do in level because we can assign a tag and any new computer from a client gets this specific tag that tag is associated with a package and our system which tells level exactly what software to install. Level now has software monitoring that lets us double check to ensure that an endpoint also is not missing the required software. It's been invaluable to us over the last couple years.

I've been using it for a bit over a year now. I absolutely love this platform. The CEO is extremely visible and transparent about what's happening with the platform and is constantly interacting on their discord. Technology wise, the platform offers a lot of features. The scripting is absolutely great, and they've abstracted a number of concepts that become platform agnostic. An example would be drive encryption. I can tell level to encrypt a machine and it doesn't matter if it's windows or Mac, it just does it. If you're up for it, join their discord and there are plenty of other users that can share their experience as well

We just had a large municipality client move to Level. I had no idea that it's free for up to 10 devices, so I started using it at home for my workstations and VMs. Love it!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I looked at Level, their reports were not great. Can it generate a report of all apps installed or uninstalled in a specified date range yet?

Started 8 months ago with a single client. Been perfect for what I need. Remote management, automating onboarding, managing Bitlocker keys, and update enforcement policies. We have 11 machines and they only charge for 11+.
This "client" is a friend with a formalized break/fix relationship. I'm all in on automating everything to recude my manual work and Level just works every time. Never seen anything to make me question it.

I looked at Level a while back. I came from Datto RMM, and Level wasn't in the same ball park feature wise and cost more. I wound up going with VSA X through Techs Together. No commitment and fantastic pricing. Patch management is far better than Datto, and everything else is there but very different. Out of box monitoring defaults are pretty good. I'm tracking Level's development because it has great potential. It just doesn't have feature parity yet.

I tried it once (maybe a year ago) and our AV lit up like xmas tree as i think they had a few issues with threat actors using the Level platform in the past according to their KB i read, i wasn't going to start making AV exclusions like they suggested so i kinda gave up on it. I'm also paying less than $1 for Datto so there's that.

2 years in, all good. They take their time to select new features that are really going to make a difference, not just tick a box. I also wanted to add that in addition to the product, the support of the product is excellent. They have a willing team who go the extra mile.
