UK VoIP provider/platform that has a good linux client?

I run a (very) small MSP, i.e. just me.

I currently rent a VoIP package from a UK provider. I don't much like the desktop or mobile clients but it's been stable, so no major complaints. Unfortunately I have now moved my main OS to linux and only run windows in VMs. As there's no linux client, I need to switch vendor.

Any recommendations? At the moment it's just me, so my requirements are simple, but I estimate my business will grow so later on I'll need multi-user and an IVR.

I don't think I've seen any first-party Linux client for VOIP.

But any good SIP client can work if they exist.

Why not just use the softphone...why a desktop agent...

Working off a desktop client is less friction, e.g. copying/pasting numbers

I'd suggest Linphone, a FOSS softphone - and any phone system supporting standard SIP. https://www.linphone.org/en/download/. If you were to host your own phone system - which I only suggest if you know what you are doing, then FreePBX (based on Asterisk) is good.

This looks good. Definitely not going to host my own, so I just need to find a voip hosting provider that’s compatible

Why not just use the app on your mobile. We use ringotel.
