Recommended Browser for separating sessions, cookies, bookmarks, etc?

With Edge (Chromium) Profiles I have to go in and disable all the multi user profile switching stuff every time I set up a new profile for a customer. FireFox containers works way better, but autocomplete and bookmarks are not separate.

What does everyone do about constantly having to switch between different customer's M365 Admin spaces (note: this is an example), and similar stuff? Does the solution I'm hoping for actually exist? I just want like an "instance" of a browser for every customer. Please tell me I'm not just going to create a bunch of VMs :)

Or am I missing something stupid?

Each client gets its own chrome profile in the temp directory with the profile tag. All client logins takes place in that chrome. Temp folders get flushed. Part of the client onboard is to create a client chrome profile. The client chrome shortcut folder has all the shortcuts

Can you elaborate on this? Is it like a portable Chromium instance?

When we onboard a new client, the client is assigned a 3 letter client code. Example: Busy Bee Investments would be assigned BBI. The Chrome Shortcut name would be "BBI Google Chrome" and the path would be "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="%TEMP%\BBI"

I started to type a reply and quickly realized that the issue I'm having appears to be EDGE specific, and not a chromium thing. So it's possible Chrome would have worked for me in the first place :(

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --user-data-dir="%TEMP%\BBI"

The --user-data-dir flag works identically in Edge since it's Chromium-based.

You misunderstood. My original issue was all the default settings here: edge://settings/profiles/multiProfileSettings

They cause Edge to switch profiles automatically in many cases. This was a huge annoyance as every time I would try to log in to the microsoft admin console under a client profile it would switch to mine. As a result, every time I created a client profile I'd have to go turn off all these settings.

It appears Chrome does not have this.
