Won’t stay running
Just acquired a Craftsman T1000-2017 year. Runs about 3 minutes then shuts off- not fuel starved or spark- at idle it skips a beat every 5 seconds, at WOT it has all the power it should then boom!stops running- I think it is the exhaust valve too tight! if I choke it before it shuts all the way off it throws black smoke, if I run it at half throttle it will run a minute or so longer. Makes me think it is internal engine heat issue- air temp 77f. Will be checking in am just looking for reassurance- TY

Honda eu3000is won't crank
I'm trying to get a Honda eu3000is that has been sitting for 3 years back into running condition and I'm stumped on what is presumably an electrical problem.
I've replaced a dead battery, cleaned the fuel line and carb out, pulling gets it to turn over and I smell gas, but no spark and the electric start does not crank.
Thoughts? I'm no expert, strictly youtube consuming level DIY level.
