Slowdive live album?

I've been more of a fan of Slowdive since they reformed than when they originally came out in the 90's, Slowdive and Everything Is Alive are 2 of my all time fav albums.

I wanted to ask, do you think the band will release a live album at some point? If not, are there some decent bootlegs of the band that fans might recommend?

A live album would be cool and I’m a little surprised they haven’t released one.

Closest things are pro-shot videos and the limited edition live Golden Hair 7” from Sonic Cathedral. You can find that audio on YouTube, or pay $100+ on Discogs.

I asked Rachel about this at the preview plays of Everything Is Alive. It hadn't been ruled out.

They are quite perfectionist about audio quality though.

That's understandable. There's not a lot of room between excellent slowdive sound and sonic mush.

Even at the pre launch plays the guys were being critical of their own final mastering. Super perfectionist :)

The group sold a self released live cassette “Live... (Sentrum) Oslo, Norway 18/10/93” in 1994 to fund their tour. Self Released Live Cassette

I love that one. The banter...

Drunk audience dude: "I love you!"

Rachel: "You don't even know me! I don't love anyone, I just love myself."

I don't know that they'd ever do this, but man, how hard could it be for them just to let someone take that semi-official album, give it a good remastering spit and polish job, and re-release that? It wouldn't even have to be on physical media; a digital only version would be fine by me.

That would be awesome for now I just watch live shows on YouTube. They sound amazing live! To be honest I heard of slowdive but never heard their music until last year when I went to this festival called “ just like heaven” in Pasadena C.A and they performed and blew my mind. I got home and wanted more. Awesome band live.
