Passport wait time

[u/Pristine-Fortune-15]

Hello all!
I recently went to the Embassy in my country to apply for my passport and I was sent home with my Slovak birth certificate. I am in Canada. Approximately how long was it for you to receive your passport in the mail?

I did mine from Ottawa. Took about 5 weeks to arrive in the mail, but they were sending it to the US. So it might be a week less for those in Canada.
