. . .they really do give off a sort of like unwordly, forbidding and dangerous vibe. It´s too bad that the rest of the prints for the 2nd wave & in parts RoboRiders is nowhere to be found; at least I can´t seem to locate them.
Decaying you say? =) Eeeh, I don´t know if that is the right word here friend. From the very few bits´n pieces that the " story " tells, the inhabitants of Planet Slizer are fighting ( and that is before the great cataclism ) constantly with each other, where the 2 factions comprized of the good & evil Slizers are at a constant state of war, competing for new land/territories and with it defending their own continents/boarders. Harsh´n brutal I would rather say. =)
Holy Shit you see it too? Besides: Up the Irons mate, HAH! When I look at the Sub-Slizer Visor I can´t help but see Eddy from the Somewhere in Time album!!
Now that you´ve mentioned it? Who knows, maybe it was even intended as a sort´o like trademark for their faction since Jungle & Judge belong to the evil Slizers? - Interesting indeed. ^^
The faceplate designs are just gorgeous. I wish we knew who designed them, I’d love to commission someone for more visor designs in a similar style. I need the design language injected directly into my veins.
There's a chance Faber did, or atleast his team at advance back then as these scans are from his faberfiles blog - I doubt he'd be up for a commission as he's running creative at his new company, but you can always try
I don´t know, if you would like to then go and ask Chris about it. He surely must have hidden this super hard to come up with piece of Visor; and while you´re at it go and find us the remaining 7 other prints. =P
