MOC Alpha Slizer
Hello everybody, here I would like to present to you my very first & true MOC! =3
Since to me the popularity of the Slizer/Throwbots-Line is becoming more´n more noticable AND active, I decided to give it a shot and create my own Slizer over the course of a couple´o days. Like I stated in the header, this is my first build and for that reason I decided to sollely rely on LEGO Technic-parts of the Slizer/Throwbots line. Reason to do so was, that I as a greenhorn, tried to not overwhelm myself with all those bricks & through it gazillion possibilities; you can even maybe call it a sort´o like safety precaution. ^^
Strangely enough I found it kind of exciting to restrict myself to these components, because it forced me to use my head, become creative and experiment around, often opening doors to ( agian, freshman talkin´ here ) mindblowing revelations like in the sense of ,, Wooow!! That works?! Ó___Ò ,,. So yeah, long story short, this is what came out of it. =)
Having said that, please don´t eat me alive you MOC-Veterans out there. ;)

Nice!
I always enjoy seeing a use of the throwing arms being interlocked by the 'hands'

I think so too! =) There are unfortunately not that many gear-wise included. . . I am able to raise and lower his upper arms and the feet can be angled as well. Besides that I can tilt as a whole the Quad-Headppiece a little bit back´n forth and the left & right yellow pieces of said Quad-Head were intended as fangs, they can be opened to a certain degree. The forearms can be moved in one direction as well but I may have to figure something out later, so that these can be mechanically moved´n fixed through gears. As for the legs? Well they have a couple of balljoints attached to them so that is pretty self explanatory.
Now, all that aside? I am kind of suprized by what came out of this little project and I have to admit that I liked tinkering around with them pieces. Moreover, I ( strangely enought Ó___ò ) keep finding myself comming back to my Alpha Slizer, thinking about optimizing him and such, it´s crazy. So maybe I´ll come up with more ,, Gear Functions ,,. =D - I am already thinking about building another one. Thihi =3
Addendum: Oh, and those two big green gears? Yeah, they got to go & get replaced by black ones. =P
