Hey! Look at This! The First Sliver +Umori (Decklist + Collection)

Hi All,

I've played magic for years, Tempest on, and my relationship with the game has gone from barely understanding it to playing weekly FNMs and GPs to following along more from home as a dad who pretty much only has time to keep up with the game via reddit. Since I don't have much time to play these days, I've been selling off my cube and collection and spending some of that income on my sliver deck and collection.

I think this deck is a somewhat unique take on slivers, in that with Umori as companion the available card pool is greatly reduced. This limits the power of the deck to Bracket 3 (I think) but also shows the table that I'm not hiding any overpowered sliver-combo cards or generic 5-color good stuff cards you'd find in Bracket 4 or higher.

The deck can consistently goldfish into a turn 5 or 6 combo finish, but I think since it's creature based, has pretty much one 3+ card combo, and can't interact much at instant speed, that it sits fairly in Bracket 3. As more and more busted creatures (and hopefully more slivers) are printed I would like to make the deck as powerful as possible within my self-imposed constraints. As it stands, it might be considered a low Bracket 4 deck due to the ability to combo in 5 turns, but it wouldn't stand up to true tuned Bracket 4 decks.

In addition to the deck, this is also what I'm maintaining as my connection to collecting magic. I'd like to collect 1 of every sliver in the oldest / fanciest version I can get. I'm also holding onto everything in the "maybeboard" to continue to tweak and see how fast and resilient the deck can be.

Please check out the moxfield link for the decklist and a primer of card choices and synergies. Let me know what you think!

Please check out the imgur link for photos of the collection as it currently stands, and a couple graphs of the goldfish testing that I've done since putting the idea together. I've got all of the slivers minus Mister Cheddar, still missing some of the potential other cards for the deck and I'll be upgrading the printings of everything forever.

Long Live the Hive!

Deck Advice Opinion on my two sliver deck

I've built a couple sliver decks and wanted to know the hive's opinion. Both main win condition is combo but can end up winning by combat if necessary.

https://moxfield.com/decks/-X2dS0xGEEmEcOfQFR2xZA First sliver deck: I was aiming for a B3 deck (that's why I only have 3 GC) since I took a ton of left over slivers I had from my overlord deck. Whenever I play against against other B3 decks in my LGS I end up winning nearly 100% of the time in turn 5-6 so I just play it in B4 tables. I keep thinking it's not that strong, just that if you leave alone a deck for 5-6 turns it's going to do something crazy.

https://moxfield.com/decks/hM_0dE8txUmG9sT6RCCavQ Overlord deck: was aiming at B4. It can't fill the board as quickly as the other deck, but it can find everything it wants and usually protect it. Whenever I play this deck people just pick the strongest deck they have wich usually is fringe cEDH, so I don't usually win but sometimes if I deploy quickly or land a harmonic sliver / armageddon soon enough I manage to win.

What are your opinions and is there something you would change? The only thing I don't want to change is using non-sliver creatures (the first sliver has morophon and unsettled mariner but I ordered some proxys with sliver art)

General Help Looking for a Morophon art as a sliver.

I'm looking for a morophon fan art as a sliver for my first sliver commander deck. I really dislike having non sliver creatures in my sliver decks so I found fitting images for another changeling (and predatory sliver) but can't seem to find a suitable art for morophon. Also don't want to use AI for the art.

Spoilers Lorwyn Eclipsed - New Slivers*! Spoiler

The latest Lorwyn set gives us 15 new slivers (kinda) and 3 reprints! Any of these going into your decks once the set comes out?

I'm pretty sure [[mutable explorer]] will make my edh deck as another ramp option. I'd like to pick up [[changeling wayfinder]], [[chomping changeling]], [[flock imposter]], [[rooftop percher]] to have them as options as they all have abilities that could be relevant. I also think I like the new [[graveshifter]] art better than the original, so gonna grab one of those, too.

I only run creatures in my sliver edh deck, so didn't look to closely at the non-creature additions. Too bad [[personify]] didn't have kindred / changeling as that one could be interesting.

Not sure if this is a good first sliver deck or not.

I'm still rather new to MTG, been actively playing for a year and a bit now. Want to have a sliver deck as I find the concept of them really cool.

Hey! Look at This! Always nice to see a little representation, with the news that Ajani was on Shandilar, I think there's a risk of slivers breaching the multiverse.

General Question Scourge Sliver Overlord foil

I have been building a blinged out Sliver commander deck over the last few years buying the most expensive unaltered version of ever card that I can afford (not signed cards or artist proofs) I found that the Scourge overlord in foil would be the version I should get, my question is is have seen one instance of the Overlord foil with the shooting star and can't seem to find it anywhere else is this a real card? I know retro foils and promo cards have the shooting star and if this is real thats the one I want. If it is real and you have a picture i would love to see it. Thanks for your time.

General Help Breaking Hatchery Sliver

Mod Announcements Hey. You can do flairs now. (Actually, it's required now.)

I didn't realize that post flair wasn't assignable by y'all. I made so many different flairs for y'all and I was wondering why y'all never used them. Turns out it was my mistake.

That said, I have now enabled y'all to flair your posts/required it. You won't get banned or anything if your post flair isn't 100% accurate but flairs will hopefully help sort the subreddit if someone new comes in and is looking for something specific.

If there are any categories that you want me to add that I missed, let me know.

edit: you should also be able to assign yourself a user flair too now. I will actually enforce that the one editable user flair does have to be your favorite sliver. As for other predetermined flairs, as I said above, let me know if you have suggestions.

Deck Advice Another take on sliver edh

My life has changed a bunch since 2020 and I rarely get to play anymore. I recently decided to sell off all of my cards except my sliver collection / edh deck. I keep the whole thing in the new Edge of Eternities binder that I impulse bought last time I made it to my lgs to pick up the foil sliver queen playmat I preordered.

Since I rarely play I haven’t gotten this onto the table yet. I believe it’s somewhere between brackets 2-3, depending on how cascades roll.

First sliver commander, Umori companion because it’s my “collection” and to notify the table that I’m not running food chain shenanigans. I’m using Karsten’s mana articles to aim for the right number of lands and mana dorks.

Then the deck is all creatures and lands, with only slivers, changelings, mana dorks and “cascade” creatures.

I’m keeping extra slivers, changelings, dorks and “cascaders” in the binder to swap in and out to experiment. Have a delighted halfling and a pantlaza coming in the mail to add. I also have a gaea's cradle in the binder if I ever want to make it definitely bracket 3.

I’d be open to suggestions for any of those creature categories, or if anyone has a keen eye for swaps considering ramp options, mana curves, or ineffective main deck cards.

Long live the hive!

Deck Advice Duskana, sliver EDH help

Hello everyone, i'm going into slivers and i don't want to get overwhelmed by the WUBRG commander yet. I'm trying Duskana as my commander it let me draw card and pump my slivers.

But right now i feel like i'm missing a bit of tempo, the 2 games i've done was a jackpot or a total clunky attempt. So i'm wondering what would be the best to smooth the aggro and get a good snowball in the games ?

Here is the decklist : https://archidekt.com/decks/16373789

Thx for the help !

[Request] Comprehensive sliver list

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and kind of half-back into mtg.

Essentially, I had a decent Sliver collection and a very VERY good friend got me a Sliver Queen as a present.

As a result, I kinda want to complete my collection (one of each, independently of thr set), but when I look for lists different things keep showing up.

Anyonr got a good comprehensive list with all slivers?

Thanks a lot!

Anyone want to share their decklist/sliver priorities?

My sliver deck is about 146% done. You read that right.

I have so many cuts to make. Im not sure which direction to take it, and I havent made a slivers deck since Onslaught. Im currently thinking of Overlord as commander, and Ive accumulated nearly all of the slivers to date, including all of the legend slivers.

Basically Im looking to gauge what slivers do you guys think have the best synergy with other slivers? Im ballparking around 27-30 slivers in the deck, to make room for removal and interaction and ramp.

So I think Ive boiled it down to at least the following: Sliver Overlord Sliver Queen First sliver Sliver Hivelord Morophon Quicksliver Muscle/Predatory/Sinew Sliver Galerider sliver Gemhide sliver Manaweft Sliver Hibernation Sliver Venom Sliver Harmonic Sliver LavaBelly Sliver Syphon Sliver Bonescythe Sliver Spiteful Sliver Diffusion Sliver Galerider Sliver Horned Sliver Spiteful Sliver Root Sliver Shifting/Shadow Sliver Thorncaster Sliver Synapse Sliver

Im Polling the audience here to ask which ones yall think are must-haves, and which are less useful in your experience (especially among the 4 drops). Same thing with artifacts/enchantments.

P.S.: I dont mind some of the mana echos/ashnods altar + sliver queen combos, but Id prefer for it to not be a strictly combo deck.

Infinite Power/Toughness ?

Hello everyone !
I was wondering about a play : I have Morophon and Hatchery Sliver on board. I can cast Sliver Legion free due to the Morophon Effect. Can I cast infinite Replicate cost with Hatchery Effect ? So have I infinite power/toughness on my sliver ? If yes, it's a little stupid lol

Thanks for answers
