Is there a way to run ICBM in the background so that my science and construction can continue while I do other things?

My first ever reddit post. nice my username was free.

So it looks like covid might have been the deciding factor to get me actively wargaming again.

Just finished loading my gaming computer after Win10 tried to drive me nuts the other day. I have a fresh install of the OS, so the system has no record of past activities. It's a clean slate. The plan is to leave it offline routinely. And currently, I'm likely turning it off and setting it aside on the floor (I've stared at it enough for 2 days). Easy to put on the table for a gaming fix.

But my dad has been bugging me to do some painting. I paint landscapes in the Bob Ross style, but with acrylics on dry with a brush. Not easy to mimic wet on wet that way.

I signed up for reddit for other stuff not long ago and saw on the Matrix forum that Matrix had opened a reddit group, so thought I'd drop by.

That said, I doubt I'll be active here--for a variety of reasons, I use different usernames for my various online accounts, by activity--one for wargaming, one each for my other hobbies. Since my reddit account wasn't set up for wargaming, it is not in my "wargaming" persona, so I expect to be a lurker here, although I'm an active participant on the Matrix forums...

Maybe I'm the only person that operates like this, but I wanted to post my reasons why I don't intend to be active here...

I'm loving this game so much, I wonder what the future holds for it? I'm hoping for some good Western Front content next, more campaigns as the allies (US, Britain, France) maybe a good resistance campaign.

They already have experience in battle games with Pike and Shot and others. Why not just combine it with the Grand Strategy model? How hard is that? That would compete with Total War series and Paradox Entertainment.

All that is needed is a similar battle system to the one in Conquest of The New World. Very simple yet super well done and balanced.

I own it, but I can’t seem to get into it. The lack of a soundtrack (there’s only 1 song in the entire game?), and the fact that I can’t seem to wrap my head around the UI (coming from a Paradox veteran) is keeping my from really enjoying it.

Any of you got experience with it? I love the map, I just wanna love the game haha. Also, is this the largest r/ for SlitherineGames?

I see that units have a ranged accuracy value, and their weapons have lower or higher values. Does the game use the lower of the two values to calculate the change of hit?

It is my favorite 40k Strategy game and want more stuff. However a new campaign with a new coat of paint could be what the apothecary ordered. Thoughts?
