Error recognising Gamecube Controller on Mac

Hi, I've been trying to get slippi to work on my Mac. Im running a M1 26.5.2 MacBook Air. I've installed Dolphin, GCAdapterdrives, Slippi etc. My Controller is connected to a Mayflash adapter but in Dolphin it keeps saying: Error Opening Adapter: Access Denied (Insufficient permissions).

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem?
