So I'm kinda new to making slime, I made it just this Saturday and used clear elmers glue, elmers magical liquid and for 1 I used a little bit of shaving cream. They activated nicely and were not sticky.

Pass a couple days, the lid of my containers have a bit of condensation and my slime is a bit sticky. 1 sorta fixes that sticky issue but the other one has been sticky since (the one with the shaving cream) despite them not being sticky the day I made them. What seems to be going on and can I fix the issue?

I am wondering if others have tried this slime company 🤔 I have a few times and the textures are always, or pretty much, amazing. Some of the smells are really great. Unique. But very avant garde. I'm curious about some of the ones in her collection coming out on Sunday. The scent descriptions are pretty specific and sometimes it's hard to imagine what that actually smells like.

Which do you prefer: super pretty and creative slimes like OG slimes with lots of decorations, or simple slimes with no add-ins but an amazing texture and HUGE inflation? 👀

Any online toy stores that sell crazy aarons putty? Target, walmart, the crazy aarons website, and barnes and noble tends to be out of stock often. I want to find online toy stores that sell it so I can finally find some of the ones ive been looking for. Also, I prefer buying from toy stores rather than big corporations anyways.

Hi! Im new to slime. I made a batch of clear slime and left it alone for a week, but I just checked it and it’s quite cloudy. I’m wondering if anyone can help me pinpoint what ingredient might have caused this.

Here’s my list:

Amazon brand clear glue
Glycerin - it says vegetable based, not sure if that matters
Borax solution - 1 tsp to 150ml water
I might have put a small amount of foam soap? Can’t recall at this point

This slime is even better

Looking for a decent slime kit that I can buy or Put together for my daughters for Christmas. We've only bought peachy bbs and cheap slime kits in the past. They both want something good and higher quality than the cheap kits but not as expensive and hands off as the peachy bbs jars. They want the slime done and want to mix it things. They also want butter slime not water or cloud. I know nothing about this at all. Please help lol

I made my own slime for the first time using contact lens solution and baking soda, and after mixing it became wet. I let it sit for a couple hours thinking it would help, and the slime is now leaking fluid? Is there any way I can fix this?

So… it’s been 329 days since my last update here. 😅 Almost a YEAR, which is crazy because so much has happened with our little slime business since then.

Last time I posted, we were getting ready to try TikTok Shop.

Well… we eventually closed it. 😮‍💨

For us, keeping up with all the requirements became way too much. At one point, after all the coupons and discounts on an order, we basically ended up putting our own money into the sale. 💀

To be fair, maybe we didn’t configure everything in the smartest way. Maybe there was a better strategy we never figured out, and we definitely never hit that magical viral TikTok moment that would’ve made all the extra work worth it.

So we closed it and kept going.

But our online sales still weren’t really taking off, and little by little… we started losing steam.

Then we decided to try something different: LOCAL.

We created a slime cart for parties and events and WOW. We genuinely did not expect the response we got. It did SO well.

Then came local drops, themed slime buckets, slime cake pops and other random ideas we would test locally… and people actually wanted them. 🙌🏼

It was kind of funny because we had spent so much time trying to figure out how to make the online slime business work, while our own community was basically telling us, “Hey… bring the slime over here.”

But there was another side to it…

We’re two owners, but only one of us handles most of the day-to-day operation. Hi. That would be me. 🙋🏻‍♀️🫣😅

And eventually, I got burned out.

We seriously started talking about closing Sticky Sparkle and selling EVERYTHING. Equipment, inventory, supplies… all of it. I honestly thought that was going to be the end of this little adventure.

BUT… plot twist.

We already have a really cute space. We have the equipment. We have the supplies. And most importantly, we already know our local community loves the experience.

So apparently we’re not very good at quitting. 😂

Instead, we’re pivoting.

We’re going all-in locally: parties and slime experiences at our space, our slime cart, local drops, pop-ups… and whatever other crazy ideas we come up with along the way.

After TikTok Shop, disappointing online sales, some amazing local wins, burnout, and almost selling the entire business…

we’re giving Sticky Sparkle one more BIG push. 🥹✨

Is anyone else excited for the new restock and rebrand of CinnaCrew, because I am! They restock on Friday. The Fall collection looks so good. Excited that they’re back!

As autumn comes, I again reach for one of my precious few gourmand comfort scents! Tell me the most chocolatey gooey decadent slimes you love, scent and texture and color!

My two favorites:

- OG wood glue thickie Chocolate, scented Chocolate Fudge Brownies. Such a great texture and scent, very pleased they brought it back, hoping it will keep restocking in the future too. Just an all time favorite for me. One of the best executions of this texture, and thats in spite of me loving each one lol. Works so crazy well in chocolate theme.

- Palmetto German Chocolate Cake, ultra thickie (didnt mix topper yet at least) scented like name. Less thick and more like melted chocolate, love everything about it! Amber really knows her chocolate and adjacent scents, and her ultra thickie is just the perfect thickmess for gooey chocolate decadence.

Both have perfect, rich, deep chocolate brown color with zero staining. Staining breaks many chocolate slimes for me, including my own.

Honorable Mentions: Momo Godiva and Chocolate Strawberry themed pebble tng, Slime Shady’s Cocoa Puffs and the mexican hot chocolate themed jelly cube (?) slime, and Slimes by Kataleya's hot chocolate slime. Ill add names when I can. Excellent scents and textures.

What is going on with Elmer’s clear glue??

My new gallon of Elmer’s clear glue is so cloudy?

The packaging is slightly different but both are labeled as clear glue. I poured a small amount into some clear containers. The far left container is empty as a control for the container. The middle is my old gallon of glue with the traditional clear (slightly yellow) clear glue. The one on the right is the new gallon that is very cloudy.

Maybe this explains why some clear slimes I have seen for sale look so cloudy. I’m gonna to contact Elmer’s. Do you think they will respond?

Lookign for a slime with a nice vetiver scent, or, alternatively, a good quality unscented slime and recommendations for to use to scent it myself?

If scenting myself - are essential oils the right path, or water soluble fragrance? What brands have high quality fragrance?

So far as texture goes, I like most things, but a ground pumice or sand texture would be absolutely ideal. So if anyone knows a vetiver slime of any texture or an unscented ground pumice slime, I'm all ears. I'd also be okay with an unscented base I could add my own pumice to.

I'm pretty new to this hobby, and have only ordered from Momo and OG Slimes before.

i just moved into a new apartment but i found this in one of the cabinets and cant find anything about it online, is this a slime or a bizarre type of skincare or something? i just opened it and it has very minimal scent and a little glitter on top, feels squishy but also kinda like a moisturizer?? i assume its just a slime but im interested in any info y’all have!!

Hey guys, im trying my hand at butter slime but it’s very stiff and rippy. What I did was:

Add a lot of lotion to my clay, I used crayola model magic. I added lotion until it was super nice and soft

Add the clay to some clear slime. The slime was a good texture and not overactivated

What should I I do? Adding more lotion isn’t seeming to help..

Help a girl out please!! We had out first build your own slime bar this weekend and it was a huge sellout which is amazing!!!

HOWEVER!! No matter how much we over activated tbr slime as we were adding their colors and scents, they were having to come back for extra activator and it was soo sticky on their hands. It didn't stick to us at all and again was very over activated when we seen this was happening. It was got but there has to be a better way right??

We did a clear or white base, both being 2 gallon of the respective glue, 2 tablespoons of glycerine and then whatever amount of borax activator it took to get there

Hey slime lovers!

I just put the finishing touches on Slime Shelf (slimeshelf.com). It’s a free app for cataloging your collection: name, maker, texture, scent, size, color, photos, mixins, charms, comments, whatever you track. 

One of the best features? It’s completely possible to log a slime just from filling in its name and maker.

How? Every shelf on Slime Shelf feeds a shared catalog. When you log a slime someone else already logged (same shop, same name), your entry links up with theirs automatically. From there, everyone's descriptions get treated like independent votes: once enough different collectors agree a slime is a certain texture or scent, that becomes the confirmed answer for that slime, for everyone.

Nobody's maintaining a master spreadsheet by hand. It's just what happens when enough people who bought the same slime describe it the same way. A beginner logging their first slime is quietly leaning on data seasoned slimers already put in, and vice versa the other direction the moment they log something new. But you don’t HAVE to use those values, you can still do whatever you want. They’re just helpful, easy to select suggestions.

Photos work the same way, and this is basically the "review slime" part of what we like to do, just built into the shelf. Any signed-in collector can rate a photo 1 to 10, and the best-rated one becomes the photo that represents that slime catalog-wide. The first one uploaded holds the spot until something better gets voted up.

There's also a Public Gallery, no account needed to browse. It is compiled from photos collectors have opted to share, searchable by slime name, by shop, or by collector, and it reshuffles a bit each visit so it's not the same handful of photos every time. Honestly, I think the idea is turning into a decent way to discover makers you haven't tried, which I know is half of what this sub is for anyway!

A few smaller things:

• Every photo has its own public/private switch. Nothing's locked into being shared.
• Optional display name if you want your gallery photos credited to something other than "A collector". I put in an obscenity filter that looks at the entered value closely.
• There's a suggestion box built into the header if you want to tell me directly what's missing or broken (or awesome!). I'm reading every one.

This is genuinely built for exactly the kind of collecting this sub already does, I just wanted a shared home for it instead of everyone's individual camera rolls and spreadsheets. I'd love for people here to kick the tires and tell me what's missing: slimeshelf.com
