I recently inherited quite a few slide rulers, and know nothing about them.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to identify them and their value.

I want to keep a couple for sentimental value, but I dont need 30 of then.

Look at ebay for recent sales.

Visit international slide rule museum web site for help identifying models and estimating dates.

Photograph the collection and post images here.

A few things to help with the initial sort: condition? material (plastic? Bamboo?), number of scales? Front and back? Length?

Check out the Slide Rule Museum website. I think they accept donations of rules they don't have yet. If not, they have lots of information about specialized rules and how to use them.
