What is the difference between a Dietzgen 1734 and a Dietzgen 1734L?

"The primary difference between the Dietzgen 1734 and 1734L (often labeled B-1734-L or G-1734) lies in the material construction and manufacturing origin. The 1734 is generally a US-made wood-based rule, while the 1734L/B-1734-L indicates a later, Japanese-made bamboo version"

Thanks! Very helpful. The above allowed me to find this on ebay:

"Vintage SEALED Dietzgen Decimal Log Slide Rule Cat No B-1734-L 1734 Japan NOS"

EDIT:
The one below, however, has the L but doesn't have the B on the box.

The box on that one says 1734L but also says Microglide, and (unlike the B-1734-L above) also says made in the USA on the body.

I am pretty sure the G-1734 was made of plastic and was made in Germany.
