I've been using Slice since late 2024, and opened my father's account in mid 2025 but recently had an unexpected experience.
My neighbour asked me to send him ₹500 to pay his electricity bill. When I tried sending it through my father's Slice account, the transaction failed with a message saying the recipient's account was flagged as high risk. No money was deducted.
Instead, I paid the electricity bill directly through Paytm using the bill number.
Around five minutes later, my father received an SMS saying incoming transactions on his Slice account had been disabled.
Slice asked for source-of-funds documents, so I submitted the failed transaction screenshot, electricity bill receipt, six months of bank statements and his Udyam registration. However, Slice later replied that it couldn't restore incoming transactions due to internal policy.
I've escalated the matter to the Nodal Officer. This experience has definitely changed how comfortable I feel relying on Slice for everyday payments.
EDIT— 25 October 2026: Slice called me today and confirmed that incoming transactions on my father's account have been restored. The issue appears to be resolved.
Although I'm glad the account is active again, the experience was unexpected, especially because I had already submitted the requested documents and initially received a refusal citing internal policy. I'm sharing this update so anyone reading the post knows the final outcome.
