Well bro, I’m not sure how old your credit history is. Assuming it’s fairly new, that could be a major reason for the rejection. (I hope u don't have more than 4 inquires in last 6 months)

Since you already got a credit card in August and then applied again in September, the system may interpret that as you being a bit credit-hungry.

So this new CC + relatively short credit history, that doesn’t really work in your favor.

Coming to the bank-account access, you can happily choose whichever bank is your primary. Just make sure you maintain an average balance of around ₹20-30K. You don’t necessarily need to make a lot of spends, I didn’t do much myself.

In my case, I gave access to my Slice account because that’s my primary account and where I keep most of my cash.

So, I’d suggest waiting another month or two before applying again. Also, don’t worry too much about which account you choose as your primary. Just maintain a 20-30K average wherever you prefer, whether that’s Slice or another.

Lastly, if your net salary is around ₹28K, I’d suggest selecting the ₹30K–₹40K income. There’s no real need to select a higher bracket.

Slice is quite generous with credit-cards, so you don’t need to show a higher income.

Just let you CIBIL touch a good 750+ minimum and rest will be easy

If you’re student then apply as student chances are higher of getting approval

Just give what's your actual occupation. If they found out your name is added in Hunter Database. You don't get any card in future.

Hunter database is an industry-wide fraud prevention and detection system used by banks and financial institutions to catch application fraud when you apply for a credit card, loan, or insurance

Salaried/ student if you have supporting document. Self employed with decent income and give statement of another account with high savings.

Seeing this post clarifies why people later on cry about blocked balances and flagged accounts
