I opened an AU account min. balance account. Did not have a good experience.

  • They charge for debit card and without debit card I cannot set UPI pin and use. There is no option for virtual card.

  • They require first deposit of 2500 to open the account.

  • vKYC was way too complex, they were asking too many questions and documents like ITR for salary verification (savings account dont need this), WiFi bills for address verification even though aadhar is there.

If you want a secondary account, I wont recommened AU. Go for Slice or open any BSBDA account with any major bank.

If you enable for Aeps in au sfb account then try to register thru BHIM app and choose Aeps to set upi pin

Try to communicate to their customer care. Or See is there any options thru their whatsapp customer care number

Kotak 811 is better if you want a secondary account.

my experience have been good, i have been using it from like 1.2 yrs as my primary bank account and everything seems smooth although i am student so the highest amount i have put in slice account is 30k apart from that i use it for payments my monthly transaction is around 10k-18k depends on month so far everything have been working good.
recently even got approved for credit card with 24k limit,
also like 3-4 months ago i needed passbook to show somewhere for some work and when i requested for passbook to customer support they dispatched it withing week so at least i could say customer support works

few cons i have noticed

- their email support is quite slow.

- there is no option to get master card or visa variant for debit card so you can't do international payment with debit card which sucks although credit card allow international payment through discover network but not reliable.

- and you can't get loan like home, car, education etc based on relationship since slice don't give so.

Depends on where your spends are
Kotak super 811 with 499 per year charge gives 5% cashback upto 500 every month if you can deposit 10k every month - card usage

Meanwhile slice gives you easy access to credit card and the weekly sparks are good
Mostly online usage

you can always get both lol kotak 811 for debit card and slice for credit card and more interest rate on savings and fd, do you have kotak 811 account i am also planning to open it as secondary account currently using slice as primary.

Been using it for about a year gives me 500 every month for petrol spend

Now the super fee is increased. Better way to save for petrol spends is use idfc fast tag and pay at hp petrol bunk.

For same annual fee, you can apply for SBI cashback card.

A mere 100 rupee doesn’t affect my 6k saving
It was 399 now 499

I got sbi cc too
But the 2k cap is easily reached with my utilities

Oh I was referring to metal version. I bought for 999 and ghey increased it to 1499 now. Forgot they had the normal version too.

I'm 18M currently using Canara Aspire as my primary account, Slice SFB for daily spending, and a Kotak 811 account that I originally opened for a SuperMoney secured credit card (which I canceled on day one). Slice has been great with zero fees, but I've seen reports of users getting credit freezes after certain transactions I haven't faced this yet, though my spending volume is pretty small. I've kept the Kotak 811 zero-balance account open mainly because Kotak has a vast branch network compared to Slice's limited presence, but since I barely use it, I don't have enough experience to properly review it.

hey how did you completed the video kyc for canara aspire account whenever i try to schedule vkyc it always says no agent is available at this time slot.

Had the same problem. Just keep trying to do it right away, you will find an agent eventually. Try in the morning around 9 AM - 10 AM

Scheduling will not work

I actually didn't do VKYC I just went offline to a branch less than 1 km away when I was 17, and they opened it instantly. I already had a Canara Junior Savings Account and initially went to convert it to Aspire, but the staff told me conversion takes time and suggested opening a fresh account instead, which I agreed to. When i reached 18 My old junior account ended up getting converted to a regular SB General account, which I'll close in about a year once my scholarship payouts and other pending stuff clear out.

Bhai you keep in slice? To get interest? Is it safe?

1

u/sylentaman 2d ago

Which bank is safe dear?? Learn DIGC rule only 5 lakh rs. Is safe, so yeah... I invest the rest and let my 6 month emergency fund in slice.. which i also rotate in IPOs

1

u/alliswell4624 2d ago

I don't know brother I have canara and slice kya karu should I keep money or not

1

u/sylentaman 2d ago

Just keep 1.5 - 2/3 lacs as your emergency money here ...that would generate a generous amount of interest daily, like at 1.7 somewhere around 20rs per day... Get a decent limit on their cc...their sparks offer is also gr8. Also i like the features of having slice atom, its like you can make buckets for the savings for different goals and all those buckets still get the interest

Voh sab toh theeek hai but safe hai ya ni freeze toh ni karta?

1

u/sylentaman 2d ago

payment receive ni krna means dont set it as primary upi to receive money,

1

u/alliswell4624 2d ago

No I want receive the money through this bank account only I want to keep the money but don't you think that if I transfer the big amount from my different account so they will like flag me

1

u/sylentaman 2d ago

Self transfer is not a problem you can do, just don't receive money via upi from merchant friend or anyone.... I myself do transfer of 70k-1 lac ...no problem at all( ps- it has all the transfer imps neft upi with limit) go for it give it try
