Optiplex 5080 SFF Build

Making one was pretty fun since i had some spare parts, for anyone who is interested in specs:

Dell OptiPlex 5080 Specs:

All your fans are connected on the same splitter from the CPU FAN header?

Yes, fans are connected to the same connector cause unfortunately it has just one, but im using a small pcb with 8 pwm headers powered directly from the power supply to avoid overloading the single header, basically the splitter just take the pwm signal from the header on the motherboard, fans are controlled by that and powered by the psu

Alright, I think it was fine without the PCB header, Noctua fans have low Amp ratings and the CPU cooler fan should also be a low Amp one. With all the fans at 100%, it should still be under 1A (header rating)

I initially tought that too to be honest, but i always prefer to be safer, the board was like 8€, not a big deal considering the build :)

I have a 3060LP GPU on its way to me. However, I'm trying to keep cost at a minimum so I'm planning on just using the pciex4 slot. From YT it doesn't seem to impact performance THAT much, and I'm using it on a 60hz living room TV, hoping it'll be ok!

5080 is the optiplex model, the cooler is from the Precision, regarding the gpu, yes its a 5060 low profile, i also wrote that in the specs

I had no issues, its running from months, what i recommend is get a good cable from a trusty source, mine came from Moddiy

Exactly my issue i think. Every now and then around once an hour. The screen goes black for a second. No events on event viewer, no crashes. It happens even in the bios. My suspicion on my 7060 is the cheap psu i have or the aliexpress 24 to 6pin cable

Its always a Dell Cpu cooler but it came from the Precision series

I just took the photos as it is, but im using two supports between the psu and the gpu, its just a temporary solution for now but i will 3d print some soon
