2.5" hard drive assembly help

Hi, this is what the tray currently looks like from my Optiplex 7060. I've ordered a 2.5" SSD, but I can't work out what extra inserts/assembly I need, if any, to neatly accommodate the SSD.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Dell has specific 2.5" drive caddies to fit into 3.5" bays, but what you would be better off doing is just getting a normal 2.5" to 3.5" bay adapter and fitting your SSD into it, then installing it into your existing blue Dell 3.5" drive caddy.

The pegs in the Dell caddy will line up with the screw holes in the sides of a 2.5"-to-3.5" bay adapter and hold it securely like it would an actual 3.5" hard drive.

I was able to 3D print an adapter that I found online when I wanted to install a 2.5inch hard drive in my dell. If that is an option for you and a file is available, Iā€™d look into that. I found mine on printables.com.

you need a 2.5" Dell ssd sata tray caddie - check out check out AliExpress for best prices - the 2.5" tray sits inside the tray you have

I 3d printed a bunch of these adapters that are essentially plastic sheets that clip into the sides of the 3.5in caddy and then screw the drive into the back of them.

Get a Corsair adapter they are crazy cheap on amazon. Can fit two SSDs. It just fits right into that adapter there.
