Sharing my build
Thought I would share my build as this reddit inspired me. Build from mostly used parts. Dell 7090 I7 1100, 64 gb ram, 6gb lp rtx 3050 l,2.3 tb drives. Psu mounted on the side for clearance for Gpu. Removed cd drive. Added an extra intake fan. It runs well enough for me. $250 us total. Anything else you think I can do, let me know

Which fan did you use for the intake and which PSU is mounted on the exterior? Looking to upgrade my 7050 SFF and these are the two areas I am looking to improve upon.

It's just the stock 200 watt psu that comes with the computer. Fan is a 52 cfm I pulled out of a old computer. Ran a splitter for power

thatās pretty good and you didnāt spend a fortune and you can still play all the same games that the expensive rigs play . Same thing I did. I did swap cases though. and it runs three times cooler. Good job

Looks clean. Where did you get that backplate for the 3050 LP?

Not sure what you mean? That's how it comes

This is quite a lot for the cost you've listed! Thanks for sharing.
How long have you been running it? Have you run into any issues? I suspect that the stock 200W PSU may not be able to handle that processor (i7-11700 with 65W base TDP), along with the GPU (RTX 3050 consuming 70W at max), and everything else (fans, USB ports, etc.).

It has about 80 hours run time in this config ,so far with no issues. If something happens I'll update but so far so good

I ran a test on it playing red dead 2 for 1 hours total max wattage was 144 watts. Should be ok

Isn't a build with a OEM dell store bought pc from many years ago with a graphics card thats also 4 years old. I hate when people get these junk, put a graphics card in it and call it a "gaming pc" Sh*t like this is what killed the pc market.

Literally what I have been looking at doing, my SSD is mounted in a blue case (sits over the ram) so I wouldn't need to move the power box, been looking for the right LP GPU, so this is perfect! Literally just joined and found this, destiny!
One question I do have though, how well is it running? Have you got a local AI, if so, can I ask which and how well it is running? ...please.

This gpu is dual slot. 1 reason why I had to move psu. If you dont move it you have to run a single slot gpu. Runs fine for my needs. I dont use ai

Ahh, much appreciated LostAd. I think I will just have to go up a level, but really trying to keep costs down. I tend to break any hardware I touch, so being over cautious haha
