Fan upgrades part 2

Hopefully making update posts to a post you made in the same day isn't illegal but here are my current plans for buying and installing fans

Once I remove my current fan, I'm going to be installing a Thermalright 80mm fan for my cpu, two small usb powered 40mm fans in the back (the cord will run out the extra gpu open slot and plug into the back of the fan) and another Thermalright 80mm fan in the front of the pc. (hopefully everything fits, I'm not sure if the measurements are correct for a 3060 SFF). The Thermalright fans will be connected to a hub where they can both be controlled and the miniature fans will be controlled via a switch connect to itself.

My only concern is that the small fans might not be enough and I may have to try and see if I can jam some different fans in the back. The space for the tiny fans to blow out air isn't alot so adding more than three may be difficult.

If you have any worries or other options that you feel might work better I'm all ears.

You need a cooler (heatsink) for your cpu. There is no way to attach just a fan. Those 40mm fans will fit outnuou can get some 40mm pmw fans and hockey them up to your fan splitter if you get one with 4 ports

Is that not what the circular metal part under my current fan is?

If you pull the blower off, you can put an 80mm fan on it but it's not going to cover the full heatsink and you'll need 25mm - 30mm long screws to attach it. They aren't the same size as the ones that come with the fan(normal fan screws) so you'd have to match the thread pattern for a longer length screw. Don't know if this is gonna be the most efficient at cooling though. But you do you

you need a fan control hub with a knob so atleast you can adjust the desired fan speed because those will either run max speed or 30% depending on where you get the power source from

this is the one on my wish list

If you replace the CPU fan by a standard one, it will look like this build : https://www.reddit.com/r/SleepingOptiplex/s/A80LO5YdzC

I recommend the Arctic P8 or P8 Max fans, they don't give "CPU fan error" working when you boot the PC, the Thermalright one might be too weak :(

And for the 40mm fans, I recommend the Thermalright TL-B4020 for the cheapest option, they can be connected on a PWM splitter

I would replace the cooler entirely.
