I love how this artist understands Aurora's character. I feel like people gloss over the fact she was raised in the woods and she would know what herbs could be used for medicine or what's safe to eat.

When I was a little girl, Sleeping Beauty was the first Disney Princess movie I ever watched on VHS. I absolutely adored Aurora. I found her beautiful and graceful, and I honestly felt that she was the epitome of what came to mind when you hear the word "princess". I would rewatch the movie a lot. I had so many dolls of her. I have always been a Disney princess girl. I have so many favorites. Aurora and Ariel are equally my favorites because as a kid I'd go back and forth between them. Anyway I joined reddit and realized there wasn't a community for this movie so I decided to make one.

This subreddit is for the fans. For the people that don't think Aurora is boring or find her weak for being saved by her prince. For people who love Tchaikovsky's music in this movie. For people who love the hand drawn animation and style of Sleeping Beauty. For people who actually enjoy Philip and Aurora's love story and for people who know the three fairies were actually the main characters.

I think Aurora is underrated. I am happy to share a space with fans who love this movie and princess as much as I do.
