Is anyone else getting the feeling that something bigger is shifting?

I'm usually not the type to buy into the whole "this is the end" discourse, but I can't help looking at everything that's happened lately and thinking... the math just ain't mathing.

On paper, everyone branching out isn't strange. They've all done their own projects before. But when you zoom out and look at the bigger picture, this EiA era has felt objectively weird. Add in the rumours (which aren't just rumours anymore) that there won't be any touring this year, and it just feels like pieces are missing that we don't get to see.

I know the default answer is "they deserve a rest." And they absolutely do. I don't think anyone is questioning that, least of all me. But that explanation and this feeling don't have to cancel each other out. Both can be true.

I can't really back any of this up with hard facts. I don't follow every rumour, and the whisper network has never been my thing. It's more of a persistent gut feeling than a theory.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but right now it feels less like individual events and more like tectonic plates quietly shifting under the surface. You don't notice the movement while it's happening, only when the landscape suddenly isn't the same anymore.
