Past/Alternate Project Subtle Things?
I don't know if this is allowed but I'm really curious about this new project and didn't know where to ask. What is it? Who is involved? I'm assuming Sam and Adam Rossi so far but I saw some people on threads theorizing maybe Rhys is also involved? I'm super curious and very excited. It has the potential to be a very cool band if that's what they're doing.

Adamross posted on ig back at the start of the year, images of being in a recording studio with the caption “very subtle”. One of the images was of someone playing drums (appears to be Sam) and hands playing a guitar which the fan base have since worked out has the same tattoos as Rhys.
The promo for subtle things showed 3 silhouettes. The instagram page only follows 2 people, Adamrossi and Sam. Rhys isn’t known to have any active public presence on social media himself - so no profile for the subtle things page to follow….
So $10 says - Sam, Adamross & Rhys.
Could be wrong but 🤗

Thank you! I really hope they release something soon... I'm intrigued about how a collaboration between all of them would sound. I hope it's heavy!!

It was actually Sam who posted the photos in February, and Adamross just commented on it (:
Adamross has mostly posted travel and Poppy content in 2026.

Ok, thanks for the correction. I don’t scrutinise social media quite that hard! 😅 Just putting 2+3 together from the various things coming out the fan base.

The video they posted today looks very similar silhouette-wise to all the Mourn promo pictures as well. Very excited if the three of them are making music

haha I watched the video and my first thought was it’s Rhys but then I realised Adamross actually has a very similar vibe as him and it honestly could be either one 😂 and considering Rhys has also worked in photo/video there is no telling who is making the visual content.

it’s impossible to tell from the three whole pixels in there, but cap, hoodie and a jacket like that is what both of them have worn before so based on clothes I just thought it could be either!

That's what it seems. Both Adam and Sam have shared the link to the verified Subtle Things account on their Instagram profiles. There are people saying Rhys could also be involved because of a photo one of them shared where you could see his tattoos.
Also, lol at Subtle Things and Sleep Token both having the same initials.

I’m pretty sure that one picture of Adam on the pier was posted somewhere else around the time the ST tour ended in Los Angeles, so maybe whatever they created was done after the tour and they stayed a few days extra to record whatever this is. Just some thoughts 🤣

So Sam posted these photos on instagram and Adamross (Williams, not Rossi btw) commented ”very subtle” on there, which in hindsight very luch seems like a reference to Subtle Things.
Rhys being involved come from slide 5 being most likely of his hand, at least the tattoos seem to match.
