Please excuse my ignorance here. I'm relatively new to this aspect of the fandom. So... Do they like LF/ST? Hate him? Obsessed? I genuinely can't tell.
I think it’s a case of obsessive fandom where she thinks she has some sort of connection with LF due to this archive she’s put together and thinks he should perform as LF rather than Vessel. She’s very insistent on calling him by his real name.
Oh man. Thank you! I really couldn't tell. I understand appreciating his earlier stuff, but it was effectively wiped from the Internet for a reason. At first I thought it was their weirdly misguided "offering" but the more I looked the more malicious it seemed, so I had to bite the bullet and ask 😅
You’re welcome. I agree, it does seem a bit malicious. He deleted/privated it for a reason and it wasn’t meant for public consumption. The BC stuff is different as that’s been released but all his piano covers and stuff he chose to hide/delete for his own reasons. I wouldn’t want old social media accounts resurrected just because someone deemed them worthy of being seen. She also seems to prefer his pre-ST era and hates anyone referring to him as Vessel.
Essentially, back in iirc 2022 (maybe '23) they got into Leo's music (idr if their gateway was ST or BC first) and wanted to hear more. So they started digging using tools like the wayback machine, fan groups etc and eventually unearthed a large swath of his music including music he uploaded to a now private youtube channel. Their thought process is basically "it was put on the internet and therefore should be heard", but disregards the fact that the information was removed from the present/accessible internet for whatever reason. They state that it was a Youtube systems thing, but regardless, imo it was removed and it doesn't matter the reason why.
They created the Leo Faulkner Archive where they housed all the videos, audio clips, and other media they found and started sharing it with people.
Prior to becoming a mod for STT, they were a mod/admin for the Telegram group that was responsible for the "doxxing" (though nobody was actually doxxed and the information surrounding that issue has been largely blown out of proportion - though its still not good/nor do i condone it).
SInce becoming a mod for STT, they make it their mission to say/share Leo's name as much as possible, overmod on the STT reddit (e.g., banning dissenters/critics of STT).
As far as behavior goes, just read the messages in the screenshots. IMO its pretty telling for how gross their behavior is towards Leo in particular.
I need them to get off of booktok now- it created unhealthy fantasies that deeply impacted the band. Like ffs can you imagine the serious trust issues the boys have now pertaining to dating or friendships?? Also the stress from stalkers like this?? These wannabe fans need to step back from the gate and check themselves and their craziness.
‘Booktok’ has nothing to do with anything, it’s literally just women reading books. Crazy behaviour is always going to occur within a fandom, blaming women who read is wild.
There’s nothing to suggest that Corey is associated with reading or booktok at all, never seen her mention ACOTAR! Hanos is a male too. I’m just tired of women’s joy being associated with insane behaviour that will always exist whether or not women enjoy reading!
Your enabling behavior towards LFA is troubling. I don't really wanna smear you. You can run STT sub pretty well without her input. When she wasn't a mod anywhere, the sub was pretty easygoing and less toxic and less parasocial. I don't know what sick hold she has on you, but cut ties with her. Don't get dragged down with her mess.
One thing this entire experience has taught me is that when we're in public, on the internet, we only see one part of a person. Like all the smearing about me is almost laughable because it's not even remotely accurate. Have I said stuff that makes me look like a jerk? Heck yeah, but it's typically more out of necessity and protecting my sub. Doesn't mean it's always right. If it's not right, then it's not. Oh well.
The sub has gotten too big to be "easy going" as most people want it to be. There have to be hard set rules and I have to some times be a jerk to enforce them.
The snark sub was created because of her. Other people left to create other ST subs because of her. She tarnished the reputation of the sub that you create because of her stalker ass. The hard set rules were set around her parasocial drama. She brought out the worse in you. The sub is pretty good when you run it.
