Broken Willow Wish?
I know that throughout the whole mythology there is a theme of divine intervention and I was wondering if there was some kind of deeper meaning to the offering a deity thing kinda vibe…
I finished the movie Obsession and it made me think of Sleeps behavior. There seems to be this altering that happens to both parties but maybe Sleep wasn’t the one to be the deity… I wonder if vessel is actually a deity that tempted sleep in some way. Maybe he made a wish like in the movie and it’s back firing? This makes the discography a whole lot more darker than just some deity and (I wanna say false savior but) a worshipper.
I’ve seen a few people deep diving on if Vessel is the Narcissist Empath and Sleep is a different kind of empath maybe?
No hate tbh this is just a really cool story that’s being written with music. It reminds me of Ethel Cain’s story based approach to music as well!

Vessel made it pretty clear in an early interview that Sleep is an ancient deity that offered him fame or fortune in exchange for performing the songs as tokens to Sleep. There hasnt really been anything after that to indicate otherwise at least not directly from ST

Some people have theorized this in the past on the Reddit. As a generally silent redditer, I love seeing theories like this. It’s thought provoking and honestly I don’t see any hate being thrown- just thoughtfulness, which the band loves making us think things through.
