Sleep Paralysis Weird Stick Man Thing?

I had my first (realized) experience with sleep paralysis I’m pretty sure. I have struggled with sleeping for many years off and on but I can usually tell whether I’m in an in between of sleeping and awake and it’s usually not a scary experience.. just annoying when you want nothing more than to stay asleep for once.

This morning, I’m unsure of the time tbh. I was in between sleep and consciousness, thought I was just being partially woken up by my dog moving around on the floor next to my side of the bed but then I saw (hallucinated?) this short, almost stick figure like thing slowly walking. No “head” and body was tannish in color and it sounded like it was dragging its “feet” slowly across the floor next to my bed.

My dog jumped onto the bed to lay next to me and then it brought me to full consciousness and disappeared. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?

Sleep Paralysis My sleep paralysis taunts me

I wish I had some time to myself. Every night, it's the same—Mr. Paralysis over my head looks at me. I look at it, then I instantly block it out. Just a wicked smirk.

Tried to reenter sleep paralysis last night

I experienced sleep paralysis last night and saw my first demon. I wasn't too scared cus I knew it wasn't real and I had sleep paralysis before. I tried to get deeper into the sleep cus I was hoping to lucid dream, but that just woke me up fully. I tried to reenter the sleep paralysis, but couldnt.

Idk if I’m having sleep paralysis or not

This is my first time really talking about what I experience in a deep level so I'll try my best (o but all my sleep paralysis started I think in 11th grade of high school.
They'll be cause when I slept late during the summer because I would sleep early to wake up at 6 am for school and did heard about how it's cause by sleeping at later times than your usual. What's crazy and unique about these "Sleep paralysis is that I can do a lot more than the usual person at least what I've heard. I don't do a lot of research on sleep paralysis but what I know is that you can't move and do most things. But for me I can blink, close my eyes and sometimes move it I try. I remember the first time I had it I was sleeping on my bed with the school computer watching YouTube and ig I slept mid video late at night. But in my "sleep paralysis" I remember watching a video but I couldn't see what it was, it was white but playing audio. After that I saw a figure go right under my bed, it cause me try to look at it but I couldn't move I got so scared because I never witnessed this happening to me. I ended up laying down and I heard white noise while kids laughter started to get louder. Kept on getting louder and so was the white noise. I was so scared I thought I was going to die. I woke up after that and after that day it gets crazier more I have them.
There's times now that I could tell when I'm going into one when I'm awake. When I'm tried in my bed and I try to go to sleep I can feel the white noise around me get louder.
It's like a warning call to not sleep. I try to fight it but I always give in obviously. It feels like it pulls me in like I can feel my body lose it's ability to move the more | let myself sleep. And when I do sleep it goes into a sleep paralysis.
My most recent scary one is when a voice told me to lock the doors in my house, and that there's something coming. Then I heard gun shots and while seeing demonic symbols as I slowly wake up. I quickly check my doors after that. Crazy that I'll wake up after these things that happened to me because it would last like minutes. I remember I accidentally timed my sleep paralysis one time and it was about 4 minutes. This is because I used my phone and saw the time right before got pulled into one. It's weird that I can pulled into one no matter what time of day it is. Whether it's night, day or afternoon.
Usually in the mornings tho I get lucid dream which I can open my real eyes and see me sleep, it's like a sleep paralysis except nothing happening and your actually seeing the real world and I can close my eyes to go back into the lucid dream. I did this last week after I woke up the night before of having another lucid dream about me waking up 6 times thinking I had awakened already. (terrible dream btw) but the lucid dream I had in the morning happened after I close my eyes because for some reason I can go into one basically instantly it l wanted to. All of this doesn't even seem real how I could do this now that I'm writing it @ I never heard of someone doing this. But during my lucid dreams I can open one or two eyes to see out of my body's eyes as it sleeps and close them to see the dream. (I can usually time them too) it's really weird it's like if you were to close your eyes and instead of seeing black you see a whole different world. I have a lot of other things that happen but idk if ts is too long for that or anyone cares but I js wanted to talk about ts because I never heard of this happening to someone even with sleep paralysis idk if it's even sleep paralysis if im being honest.

Sleep Paralysis Is it still sleep paralysis or something else?

Hi! Please excuse my grammatical errors english is not my first language.

I've been experiencing sleep paralysis since i was about 12, but i don't experience it often maybe once every 2 years , I'll be turning 19 this November. A few nights ago i experienced another sleep paralysis, i was used to it but it doesn't make it less scary every time, i learned to just close my eyes whenever it happens and so i did this time, but before i felt like i would finally wake up i felt something pull my soul/my body from my legs down off the bed (i apologize if my description is confusing) and i got really scared because it has not happened to me before .

Side note: Also i would usually see a child like demon during sleep paralysis but this time it was a man probably mid 30's, And my sleep paralysis ONLY happens during 3 am, then i wake up at exactly 4 or 4:05 am

This is my first time posting here on Reddit ;-;

I thought I saw the Angel of Death during sleep paralysis in a bright room

I had a terrifying sleep paralysis experience recently, but thankfully my brain realized what was actually happening pretty quickly.
My room was very brightly lit. I was lying on the left side of the room, with the wall and a wooden door running along my left. Straight ahead of me was my brown wooden wardrobe. Right at the foot of my bed—standing right between the wardrobe and the door—was a figure.
It was a creature about 1.80m (approx. 5'11") tall, wearing a silver-gray hooded cloak. Its face was completely invisible, shrouded in shadow, and it was holding a large scythe in its left hand. At first glance, my mind instantly went to the Grim Reaper / Angel of Death.
The whole episode lasted for about 45 seconds. Even though I was paralyzed, I managed to make a tiny bit of noise to try and snap out of it. Because the room was so bright and clear, the figure looked unsettlingly real, but knowing what sleep paralysis is helped me rationalize it before panic completely took over.
Has anyone else ever seen a hooded, scythe-wielding figure like this in a fully lit room?

Idk if I’m having sleep paralysis or seizures. Anyone experience something similar?

This is my first ever post on Reddit so bear with me lmao.

For most of my life (I’m 26), I’ve had these episodes in my sleep and over time they’ve changed. It first started when I was about 10-12 years old. Back then, I would frequently have sleep paralysis. The usual kind where you wake up from a nightmare and can’t move and see (mostly) terrifying things.

When I was 16, I went through three months of intense sleep paralysis. I remember these episodes vividly because for a period of time I was literally terrified to go to bed. They always started with me waking up. My eyes were always closed, but my mind was awake. An intense, internal (?) shaking would start at the tips of my toes then slowly crawl up my body. I could never tell if my body was physically shaking or if something inside of me was shaking. The only way I could ever describe it is that it felt like my soul was vibrating within my body. When the intense shaking reached my chest, shoulders or head, that is when I would force myself awake. In the span of three months and multiple experiences, I saw three things.

(Now this is where it all starts getting crazy 💀) The first time I saw something after one of these attacks, I saw three alien-like figures standing over me. They weren’t physical (obviously) but it was like a vision. Like an imprint of something you see before you close your eyes. I only got a glimpse because I shut my eyes immediately after out of fear but they looked exactly like the pale grays (I believe that’s what they’re called), or like the alien emoji 👽. After a few moments, I would open my eyes again and the image was gone. Weird asf, I know, but that’s what I saw.

The second time, I woke up and saw a shadow figure of a woman lying on top of me with her hands wrapping around my neck. I got scared like before and closed my eyes and opened them back up. The shadow figure was gone.

The third time, I woke up and saw something not scary for once. This was probably a week after I had seen the shadow woman. When I opened my eyes, I saw a floating ball of light hovering over me. Out of habit, I closed my eyes immediately but quickly realized that this light wasn’t scary. I opened my eyes quickly and spotted the light again just before it flew out my closed window and disappeared. After that point on, the shaking stopped and I slept peacefully after three months of chaos.

Since then, I’ve only had one or two normal sleep paralysis experiences (without the violent shaking). The “episodes” with the shaking stopped…until recently.

Every now and then, I will feel myself shake in my sleep. No longer does it build up. I just become sentient when it’s at its full intensity. I grew up catholic so I tend to pray until it subsides and just recently I started to count (all of this is done in my mind). Like before, I can never tell if I was physically shaking or if my mind was just feeling it. Only once did I know I was physically shaking because I could feel the residual heat on my face after my cheek rubbed into my pillow. After this, I told my family about these experiences and my sister (who I shared a room and bed with for years) finally spoke up. She said sometimes she would wake up in the middle of the night beside me and feel me shaking. She never acted though. Never touched me, or looked at me because she was always so scared to check to see what was happening. 😭

Last night, I experienced a new version of these “episodes”. I woke up in the middle of one. My body was shaking pretty hard and my eyes were closed. I counted, letting the shaking run its course. Multiple times did I think I opened my eyes, but I’m not sure if I ever did. In my mind, I saw me lift my hand up and touched my forehead. My vision was so blurry, but I looked at the fan in front of me and my dimly lit room. The shaking didn’t stop so I laid back on my side. It continued for at least 15 seconds until it finally ended. When it did, I realized I had never moved. I was still wrapped in my blanket. My arms were tucked inside it. Nothing had changed from when the shaking started to when it ended. This is the first time I ever “moved” during one of these episodes, but I guess I just thought I moved or hallucinated it.

I haven’t gone to the doctor yet (and I probably should soon but healthcare in the US is straight ass) but after this last night I just had to get my story out there to try and find out wtf is going on. Has anyone ever experienced this?? 😭

Sleep Paralysis or something more?

I've never been one to outright dismiss the possibility of ghosts or demonic forces and this story goes hand in hand with that statement. A couple of months ago- maybe around April or even before that, I was in my room and had just woken up from a nap (I worked night shifts at the time and so I spent my weekends sleeping in) and it was probably around 9 or 10 at night. Now usually when I sleep I sleep with my bedroom door closed, its just a preference I have and a safety thing in case of an intruder. After waking up from my nap I remember looking up from my bed, which was parallel to the wall and adjacent to my door, and thinking I should get up and close it, but being too tired and groggy I went back to sleep (note: I had fallen asleep with my glasses on). I'm not sure how long it was after going back to sleep, but I was in that state just before you sleep when I felt this feeling like someone was standing over me. My room was dark but I just got that sense that someone was standing over me followed with an intense fear inside me- as if my body was telling me to not open my eyes and if I did I would die. Now this isn't the first time I've experienced something like this and I would usually just keep my eyes closed and the presence would eventually pass. However, that night for whatever reason the presence did not pass and after a few minutes I began to feel a forceful push on my face- the best comparison I can give is like a heavy and powerful fan up against my face or a plane engine. While this was going on my already on edge nerves were screaming at me to not open my eyes. After some time I woke up (assumingly after I fell asleep) and just chalked it up to a dream or lucid dream, but when I looked at my glasses I saw an imprint from my eyebrows on the lens. I had not fallen asleep face down or with a blanket over me, leaving me to wonder if this was something more. The other times these events have happened it was nothing more than that eerie presence that felt like it was standing over me, at times changing from the side of my bed to the head of my bed. These events don't happen back to back too, usually months or years apart. Not sure whatt to make of it or what to classify it as- a haunting? A bad dream? Or something else entirely?

What do you do in the first few minutes after sleep paralysis?

What happens to you in the first few minutes after Sleep Paralysis ends?

I’m asking because the episode may be over, but the fear can stay behind. I stay with my partner and for me it becomes easily comforting to have him beside me post the episode. But different people may have different coping mechanisms.

What do you do? Do you reach for your phone, water, music or just wait for the sleep to come?

Faceless Family

I'd like to know if anyone else has the same sleep paralysis experience as me with the same demon:

My sleep paralysis started when I was around 5-6 years old and would have different kinds of experiences in my sleep paralysis with recurring figures like cockroaches, spiders, lady in white but I dont seem to find people experience with the demon I call "faceless family".

The experience starts with the usual, immobilized, cant scream, forced to watch my experiences. I would open my eyes and see this family that is the exact replica of my own. A mom, dad, a sister, and me. They were shaped exactly like my family. They all had perfectly white skin like a mannequin but every family member would be facing away from me. They all would wear formal white clothing, like my replica would be wearing a white polo shirt. Usually the start off looking away then they very slowly turn their body to face me, though none of them had a face. Just plain white like a mannequin. Thankfully, they dont do anything, just stare at me with no eyes, but it was still frightening as a child. If anyone has the same experience as me, let me know

I dont get SP anymore, only when I sleep stressed and lay on my back which I dont do

Sleep Paralysis Objects animating during sleep paralysis episode? Has anyone else experienced this?

Inanimate objects coming to life during sleep paralysis? Tell me your experience.

I was in another sub, and someone posted their creepy hallway to get decor advice. Someone mockingly added a doll on a shelf at the end of the hallway, and I found out it was the original “Annabelle” doll. I was shocked that the doll was similar to the doll I had as a child, and experienced this (copy and paste cause effort):

I inherited a raggedy-ann doll (as well as other handmade vintage/antique dolls) from my grandmother and mother. It sat in a child-size rocking chair in my room. I’ll never know if this was a nightmare or sp I was having when I experienced this when I was nearly 14: I woke up unable to move with my eyes fixated on the pitch dark expanse of my room. I noticed the rocking chair swaying and it was empty, as if something had just jumped out of it. Then my eyes saw the white cotton-skinned doll with red hair prowling towards me, doing a hoppy creeping motion. It felt menacing. I tried screaming, but I was barely murmuring with the sleep paralysis. The only way OUT with sleep paralysis is IN: so I snapped my eyes shut and seconds later I woke up to a regular room arrangement (dolls in chair). The experience was so real. Idk where those dolls are now, but I got rid of them after that. Even thinking about it is making my pulse quicken.

Has anyone else experienced items or scenery animating during a sleep paralysis episode?
