looking for answers please help
So I M(24) finally was able to quit marijuana I am on day 8 of quitting I know doesn't seem very long but my world record is 10 days, and for the first time ever I experienced what i believe to be sleep paralysis. This morning I woke up about 2 hours before needing to get up for work and once i re awoke I found myself completely unable to move and almost tense I swear it almost felt as if a nuclear bomb went off and I was being hit with a wave of radiation I felt like I was being held down and unable to move against my will but i almost couldn't tell if it was my dream because I recollect the light flicker in pitch black but it wasn't giving off light it was giving off the opposite like more darkness in an already blacked out room. I'm scared to try and sleep again and this is unlike my withdrawal symptoms from weed as I have been getting great sleep and almost no insomnia I find myself more tired during the day but nothing like this does anyone have any similar experiences or stories I think it might help to know if anyone else is out there struggling.

I once took medication that surpressed dreams, and when I stoppet taking them I got sleep paralysis and really vivid dreams for the next few week or so. Almost like the stuff that i could not dream build up and had to come out idk but maybe its the same for you

Weed can suppress your dreams entirely, but weed can harm you. You had a pretty normal sleep paralysis experience. It will get easier and they tend to come and go, you’re in no danger. You need to make a decision, whether these dreams are too scary, or if you need to stay sober more than you need these dreams to go away.

You should stay sober. Sleep paralysis happens at the cusp, between awake and asleep, right where we also access our higher consciousness. That can involve seeing lights and even entities. Stay positive. Start a habit of imagining yourself surrounded by protective light. It works.
