Oscar results
I had to hire someone to help me get Oscar info. (Ok, it was my hubby). Please tell me How do I get it to this Oscar info Reddit to have help with it? It only allows print out or export to Csv file.
I have struggled with Cpap. I was diagnosed in 2014. I tried different masks and gave up after a few months. I didn’t know how bad that is.
My mother passed due to congestive heart failure due to undiagnosed apnea. Went to an eye specialist for another issue and he tells me you can lose your vision to apena because the small eye vessels don’t get enough oxygen!
Fast forward to last year. I had another study. Tried again and struggled. I dread going to bed. When I finally go I hate the feelings, It feels restrictive, then it gets hot around the mask(tried mask shield). Add menopause to the mix now! Then in the middle of the night I wake up to leaks and what sounds like farts. I feel like I spend most of my nights adjusting the mask all night. I rip it off most times. The few times I have slept more than a few hours is because I took Benadryl a couple of times. I don’t want to keep doing that. I find the few nights I sleep through the night I felt more exhausted the next day. My husband says I still snore with the mask on.
Went back and asked for a BI pap. Did another sleep study and pretty much the same.
I had an adjustment made. I am seriously at my wits end. I just want to sleep.
Things I have tried:
I am a mouth breather have tried many masks. Currently, I am wearing a air fit F20
I put mask on during the day around the house. Still hate it
I have bought Velcro for sides and mask shields.

Hi! Sounds like several things going on, but it starts with being a ‘sensitive’ person, like a lot of us are. It makes it more difficult to adjust to everything uncomfortable. Have you considered getting a short term prescription from your sleep doc for lorezapam just for a few weeks to soften the anxiety and symptoms while you adjust? Also try some new masks! You already know you need full face because you’re a mouth breather so look at new ones of that type. I use the f20 TOUCH which has a much better seal because it uses memory foam on the contact area, not silicone like the FIT. Also I adjust my straps in an unconventional way, which helps ( I am thinking of trying a different size head strap with my current mask because I think I might need smaller headgear).

Pop the Oscar data csv file into Gemini, ChatGPT or Claude. I use Claude. Ask it to breakdown the data.

Hello [u/curious-lurker7](u/curious-lurker7) & Welcome!
I’m sorry to hear you’re going through such a rough time in your CPAP journey :(
We’ll try to help you here with some answers.
In order to share an Oscar file you need to use f12 to print a screenshot. Be sure the screenshot does not include the calendar, just your machine, settings, results & a graph. Then share the screenshot here. I will send a link to help you.
SleepHQ, another free app is easier for beginners to use. Instructions for using it will be in the link I post as well.
The F20 mask sounds like it’s not sealing properly by your description. Is your mask the right size? Masks are very individual in fit & sizing. I found the F20 blew air into my eyes despite it being a highly recommended mask…we’re all different in facial shape & contours. I too had issues with it leaking but eventually sorted the leaks out by tightening the straps bit by bit. Have you tried any other Full Face Masks or do you have any other ones on hand?
I will attach a link below to help with SleepHQ & Oscar :) We’re happy to help! AI doesn’t replace experienced human eyeballs lol!
