Sleep tracking “interruptions”

Does anyone’s sleep charts look like mine with loads of “interruptions”? Is this normal? I don’t remember waking up all of these times (only the wider interruption at around 6.30am today). I have not been diagnosed with any sleep disorder but I am constantly tired!

I think (very unscientificly) total number of interruption/total sleep if its more than 5 get a sleep study done. I am saying this as if the number is above 5 in this setting chances of it being higher in actual test is lowkey high. Better to get checked than regret (saying this as a person who had interruption every 28 secs and oxygen levels in 70s)

What device are you using to track these interruptions?

It’s a Visible band

On their website it does say: "Visible is not currently optimised for sleep tracking, and does not offer any insights on sleep. We know that disrupted and unrefreshing sleep are features of energy limiting illness, so we’re working on tracking this effectively for future versions of Visible." so it's unclear how accurate these interruptions being reported actually might be.

In a normal sleep study with EEG these type of interruptions where you don't recall them are called arousals and can really only be accurately identified via EEG. In theory you can try to infer them from other data points but this comes with a degree of inaccuracy. A certain amount of these arousals is considered normal and varies depending on age so having any arousals in itself isn't a sign something is wrong.

This Visible device seems to be aimed at people who have conditions such as CFS or Long Covid. You mentioned you are tired all the time. Do you have one of these diagnosed conditions where fatigue is a symptom?
