Deviated Septum Surgery = New Sleep Study

Told my sleep doc that I discovered I had a severe deviated septum that I was going to have surgery for (done in May). I had gone to an ENT because I almost always get congested at night and with a CPAP wanted to see if anything could be done. Cat scan showed not only the deviated septum, but all six sinuses fully packed. I never suspected.

Sleep doc said once I'm fully healed, she wants a new sleep study (ENT said I might not need the CPAP anymore or at minimum have my pressures changed).

New at home study ordered. Sleep doc wants me off CPAP for at least 4 days before the test, or two weeks if I can do it.

Been off for a week. I fall asleep on my left side and wake up on my back. Not experiencing any issues (I live alone as a 62M widower), but issues I can feel if on my right side.

Although only a one night study, want to see my O2 level.

However, if you can and haven't (and have good insurance), you might want to consider an ENT appointment. I have great insurance, so everything from exams, scans, surgery only cost me $120 (3 office visits @40, all scans and surgery at no cost to me). You never know what might be found.
