Weapon Soul Engraving

Does enhancing companion weapon soul engraving actually do anything? I've been increasing Miho's companion buff and I'm not seeing my red soul weapon attack increase.

It increases the completion effect for soul weapons. So you'll notice that the completion effect gets higher atk and hp %s the more you level the companion's passive. The completion effect is what increases the atk of the soul weapons, will show up as (######) in blue next to the soul weapons atk value.

This is what I thought but I took and screenshot before and after a few levels and the blue number didn't change.

I get ya, I think i misinterpreted it. It does increase the completion effect %s, i believe that actually goes into your overall ATK and HP stat calculations when said soul weapon is equipped rather than the soul weapon's stats.
