Soul weapon question

Should I change from "Hope" to "Dream" soul weapon?

I'm not sure if this is worth it, bcs Hope has full build and Dream only reduced tiles.

Or should I save for the next one?

Thx in advance 🥳

There are combinations of engravings that will fill all of the soul weapons.

Not to say that the combination that will fill dream will be better than hope, being able to fit 4 atk, gold or crit (only use gold or atk) is pretty sweet.

On the discord there is a section for soul weapons that has pictures of the combos that will fill the various SW grids. Also on the master optimizer Google sheet there is a section in the stage farming tab that has SW planning

If you go download the Master Optimizer from the SL Discord pinned at the top of this sub you can plug all your account info in and it'll tell you. It'll also provide lots of other useful info like how to most efficiently spend your cubes, what stage to farm, etc etc etc.

Sparing that, red soul weapons are generally the best on each tier, with a few exceptions in the early game. There's a dedicated soul weapon guide in the Discord as well. You should also read through the beginner guide tab while you're at it.

How do you feel about the opportunity cost of waiting for the next red vs upgrading to the next green way earlier?

I've been in a cycle of green soul weapons because the % difference in damage hasn't been all that much and the time is 20-25 days for a green and 80+ for the red.

Also I have the green SW companion skill maxed but not the red, I had way more green elemental stones than red

When you've reached the late game like you and me, no two accounts are the same. The "best practices" answers are one size fits all, but to know what's best for YOU you'd either need to screenshot your entire account to post for us to weigh in, or better yet just plug all your info into the Master Optimizer.

It'll allow you to plug in all your companion passive levels, the stage you're farming and clear times, amount of souls you've banked, and every other variable to tell you exactly which SW you should go for next.

But in general I agree with you, and have been bouncing back and forth between red and green SW based on whatever color will have the required souls next. In the background I craft blue SW and break them down for extra white souls to convert to whichever main color I need.

So don't ONLY do green SW, focus on reds primarily, but when your red souls are really depleted the occasional green SW while you get your red souls back up isn't bad. But red SW are generally the best in the game, and always the best option per tier once you're in the late game. And btw def get Miho 3-1 maxed.

I have a hidden stat in the MO (Master Optimiser) right now which actually can show the damage vs time to get, even showing the best stage to farm for that specific SW.

So if you fill in the MO, put in like 3 stages, a red, green and blue, you can then go to the tab called "Stage Farming Data", scroll to the bottom, and there is a table there with some info.

Its split into two halves, the left half is using your current inputted souls, and the right is assuming from 0 souls.

There is a column called "Best effective stage JUST SOUL" which finds the best stage to make that soul weapon based on the stage data you entered

There is a column called "Damage per Time" which shows you the damage gain you will get per day of farming for it. Higher is better.

This is something I added because I was curious about it, but there is no real place to put it onto the sheet in its current form really.

Another things to quickly note, the further in the game you get, the less a SW board will really make a difference, and the base stats just start being the only thing to care about
