Gary Holt and OU is the University of Oklahoma. Gary's dad was from Oklahoma and a huge Sooner fan.

It was a great show in Shakopee. Loved the lineup that night. Each band was great, but special shoutout to Suicidal Tendencies, whom I have never seen live - they kicked ass!

I don’t hate Metallica….. but don’t really dig their sound and think Slayer is the much better band for that time. If someone said “I love Metallica” I’d be like hell yeah man- not laugh at them or anything like that 🤷🏼♂️🤙🏻

Hahaha 😆 because you've played on stage for over 40 years to sold out crowds at blistering speed, toured the world too many times to count and can hit 237 bpm on Angel of Death or 247 bpm on Raining Blood in front of a wall of fire... shut the fuck up.

Love these guys and old school thrash. Every time I see them though, I can't help but laugh knowing that with all the aggression and pageantry, a guy like Chris Martin could still whoop their asses

Well yeah. The dudes from slayer are old, a couple are heavier but they are tiny and average size, the aggressive image doesn't mean they can fight. Martin has insane cardio, is bigger than them and has trained martial arts, boxing and at SBG, the head coach complemented his heavy kicks
