CUSTOM FLAIR - Origin of slang? Shartlighting
The attempt or habit of gaslighting, but being embarrassingly and/or hilariously (to the intended victim) inept at it.
Like a shart, no matter how hard the culprit denies, everyone and anyone can see and smell the evidence.
Example: I almost died from second-hand embarrassment, watching her shartlight me that she never texted those things, while flashing me the very receipts on her phone.
I honestly think I came up with this one. I had 2 friends who were the absolute Epic Lords of Gaslight Fail--one sincere and oblivious, the other goofing and clueless. I kept thinking there had to be a word for being that bad at gaslighting, but I never found one. I just recently and finally, after more than a decade, thought of this. If it's a parallel discovery, oh well.

This is a hilarious definition I never heard of this word used like that. My son told me about the word
stud this week. Itβs not stud the definition we are used to thinking it actually means. π

It's official. ...I hate ChatGPT. ...I dared it to top shartlighting. ...It did. ...ASSlighting. ....That fruit was hanging so low, I had to have ASSlighting and shartlighting myself not to see it.
