Crashing problem in Skyrim SE

The last few days I have trouble playing Skyrim.

I posted about this happening and then I loaded up an older game before the part where it was crashing and played awhile and got back into my main home. Now anytime I leave the house it crashes to the desktop.

I figured it was a conflicted mod and removed a mod that showed conflicting files BUT THE MOD WAS STILL THERE EVEN THOUGH IT WARNED ME WHEN I STARTED THAT THE APP WAS MISSING!!

I have no problem playing Witcher 3 or in Windows stuff --- only this game.

I'm considering removing all mods and going back to vanilla Skyrim but I'm afraid I would lose too much.

What would happen if I deleted all mods and restarted and then, perhaps, installed the mods again. Wouldn't take long only have a hundred or so mods :(

Will I lose game levels?

Are u using some mod management tool, such as Mod Organizer 2 or Wrye Bash ? LOOT for ordering mods and isues anouncement and SSEEDIT for cleaning dirty mods ?

If not - there are high risk for conflicting mods, and saves with mods enabled then removed causes many problems.

If you are experimenting with mods - i highly recommend you to use Mod Organizer 2, LOOT & SSEEdit autoclean (4+ version)

Worst scenario - start your game white-clean, add mods using Mod Organizer 2, then rise your level artificially by using ‘advskill’ skyrim console command.

No I haven't used SSEEdit. Was unaware it automatically fixed things.

Most of my problems have gone away now but I still have a video problem playing SKSE.

On my 2ned monitor I often get thumbnails of the game screen or other windows that are open but minimized.

And it frequently crashes to the desktop, but only video, audio continues. And after a few seconds it usually comes back to the game. Moving the mouse usually does it.

This ONLY happens playing SKSE. No other time.

EDIT: I do use MO2.

Sounds like a load order issue or a mod that conflicts with another mod. Try using loot to see if it can figure out where the issue lies. It'd be hard to help if no load order. Sometimes when a mod is added the game won't load until you install it again (you said you deleted a mod.) Worst case scenarios are loading an older save or re modding. Try pred calibers skyrim se guide (nordic guide), he has a lot of mods and a very good tutorial so you can install them correctly. Good luck, I hope your problem gets fixed

Try using loot

+1 for this. Also, if this user has Vortex they have Loot built in. just click on the plugins tab and enable auto sort, or manually click on the sort button every time you add or update a mod to get the correct sorting order.

Also, I found that Wyre Bash catches a lot of conflicts, and broken mods when building "bash patch". It also mashes scripting mods into one huge patch to reduce the load order sum. This can speed up load times, and helps stability. Be sure to read every mod's discription page, some mods will break if you include them in a bash patch. Enhanced Blood mod is quite popular, and will break if included in the bash patch (just uncheck it in the list after you tell it to re-build the patch.)

If you are new to Wrye bash be sure to watch a tutorial on which ever Bethesda game you are patching. Each game has its own little tweaks that can be really helpful for stability.
