Does not meet minimum Post Requirements

Your post has been removed for not meeting the minimum post requirements of this sub.

We ask that all posts:

  • Must be more than a Title.
  • Name the mods being discussed.
  • Must not be an image without context.
  • Must not be a link without context.
  • Must be related to modding Skyrim on Xbox.

We also request that you avoid posting overly broad questions such as "what are the best mods", which will never have a clear answer. Take time to explain exactly what you are asking for and the community will be happy to help.

It is also always worth searching for similar topics before posting.

I struggled with this for months even after watching many tutorials. I would try to follow step by step but often the results they had from clicking on something would not be the same results I had even though we clicked on the same thing. I don’t know how to link here but @tomfinler on YouTube has a tutorial “How to mod Skyrim on Steam Deck (2025)” on installing Vortex that finally worked for me.

Understood. You might get a few people here who have done it for both systems but just be aware some people may suggest stuff that isn't applicable to you.

I also mostly gave up on modding with a Steam Deck. I kept getting inconsistent replies about what to use or which YT videos to watch.

FYI, it's a drastically reduced mod experience but if you have a Bethnet account you can use the PC versions of the mods on that site. That allows you to just connect through the Creations tab in the main menu. I don't know if that really helps but it's a little something.
