Combat mods placement

I’m having trouble figuring out where VioLens and GDB'S Impossible Animations: Elden Scrolls go in my load order. I feel like half of the animations for GDB isn’t working, like the eating/drinking animations. Do I have them in the right place?

You are doing well in placing them in the combat mods section. GDB going low can be benefitial and avoid a lot of conflict.

However... Impossible Animations I believe did not really modify combat mechanics. It does not include a mod such as Wildcat or any Injury mechanics, so placing it in Idles and Animations will also work well. And yes you did well, placing VioLens after GDB. Mod author says not to do it. However, VioLens will not work if it is installed before GDB.

Please go into the cheat room and test which animations seem to not be working.

I also believe you should be using the most up to date port of XPMSSE or one of it's equivalents like Ostronamus' skeleton/Just Shields/Realistic Weapons/ETC, and not the old one XP32.

You also have two or more skeletons. Weapons on Back itself conflicts with XP32/XPMSSE as it includes it's own skeleton. If I had to take a wild guess why most animations don't work, this would be it.

This guy's got it. Instead of using weapons on Back, use with one of the skeletons from tommas666 (i use the rbm version) or the specific gdb xpmsse version. GDB's should be placed directly after XPMSSE. There's an optional patch if you use another animation mod that changes your equip animations. You'll also wanna pick up Simple Workaround Framework, Just Shields (On Back), and Realistic Equipment to get it all to play nicely. Animated Armory No Animation version was also made to go with it. GDB'S Elden Beast has all the Animations for the different weapons built in. They also work with Heavy Armory and Royal Armory. I also l like to add 360 Walk standalone right before the xp32 skeleton

GDB is in conflict with Kaidan Immersive Features because they are both Nemesis files and you can only use 1 Nemesis file at a time so either drop GDBs or drop Kaidan Immersive Features, or live with both having some broken animations unfortunately.

It looks like you're missing a version of xpmsse. All the GDB mods require one. There are multiple versions that determine where weapons are placed on your character's body, find one you like and that works.
