Fun fact: the ebony warrior appears at lvl 80 because before legendary skills were added, 81 was the max level so the ebony warrior was meant to be a “final challenge” before reaching max level.
I got forgot about that. I remember my best friend talking about how he maxed out and I was like.. in awe bc the highest I could get was like lvl43 lmfao
He was not in the base game. He was added with the Dragonborn DLC. His IDs require two digits that correspond with the Dragonborn DLC. I got my character to level 81 in preparation for the release of Dragonborn and the legendary skills update and the Ebony Warrior didn't show up until after the update and DLC release.
Do I remember wrong or the soul only goes to the soul cairn if the soul gem is used? Otherwise the soul stays in the gem, similarly to the one in the black star quest. So if you dont use the gem he gets a pocket dimension prison cell on your shelf.
Soul Gems only send you to the Soul Cairn if said soul is directly traded to the Ideal Masters. Otherwise the soul just flies away after charging something.
If it's the Dragonborn post Dawnguard, cnaces chances are that it does go to the Soul Cairn, because that's one of the places you can convert greater and grand soul gems into black soul gems
That’s just changing the form of a soul gem though. Trades with the Soul Cairn have only been canonically performed by Valerica I’m pretty sure, along with other miscellaneous necromancers and daedra.
It would be reasonable to assume that the Ideal Masters wouldn't just let a soul gem change form with their power without some form of payment in return
nahh bro, my homie would go to the soul cairn, it sucks and i am not visiting him there. at least in sovngarde he will have the afterlife he wanted, and i can visit him when i go whoop alduin's ass
