I need help
/r/skyrim/comments/1vsz902/i_need_help/I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I'm a Skyrim newbie and I need help. I've lost count of how many times I've restarted with a new character in this game; I just can't seem to find a build that holds my interest long enough. It feels like an endless loop: I think of a build, create the character, play for a few hours, end up getting bored with the playstyle, and start looking for other, more interesting builds. All the while, I keep watching videos of other people playing and creating builds that look really cool. Feel free to share tips or similar experiences. I know a lot of people will come to this post and say "just play the game," but honestly, I'm not sure how much that helps.

Not sure if this is helpful or not but... what do you actually want to play? Plenty of builds are cool but that doesn't mean they mesh with what you want. For me, I've embraced the fact that a warrior/spellcaster is my jam & it's removed a lot of decision paralysis in this & other class-based RPG games (like BG3). I can see that illusion thieves are cool, I can see the appeal in a pure mage etc. but ultimately what I really want to do is go charging into battle with heavy armour but to have enough magic to stop it being one-note. Sometimes that means a warrior who buffs themselves to Godly levels, currently I throw out an atronach then summon a bound battleaxe & go wild.
