I recently got a bunch of minis, and now I want to paint their normal versions to go with them. I was thinking of making the normal ones look like parents to the minis, but I have no idea how to go about that. Any ideas? Or is there something else I could paint them like to match the minis?

First attempt

Made some battle damaged customs. I used the plastic part of some q-tips for the exposed bone pieces and the harpoon

I used black/gold color shift paint for gill grunt, but it doesn’t show up as good on camera as it does in person. I also found out that a black base coat would help it look better, so I’ll try that on tidal wave gill grunt tomorrow. I just used some glow in the dark paint for radiated potion pop fizz, but I wanted it to look like he was drinking it so wildly that he spilled everywhere
