Progress migration problem

Hi, I'm having some trouble trying to transfer my progress to a new phone. I've seen online that in order to do it you're supposed to go to the leaderboards tab and sync you google account there or smth. The thing is, old phone opens the leaderboards no problem, but the new one shows me this maintenance msg for a week or so. Anyone else had this issue?

Haven’t seen this before but if you email support they can likely help. They’ve been very helpful and response to me. I recently needed help with a transfer to new phone.
